Computers will fight our battles: Kalam.

some pak! users on this thread are school kids... plz ignore their intellect...

@angeldemon : i was referring to the one who i quoted !!

A weapon that is not developed yet, but the man giving the ideas..
LEGEN--DARY!

He knows that its difficult to harness the current crop of fuels.. so he mentions the bio-fuels.

“We must dream of a Mach 8-10 capable reusable cruise missile by 2016-2020, which have stealth capabilities and will deliver the payload at hypersonic speeds before returning to base,” said former president and eminent missile scientist A P J Abdul Kalam

What Mr. Kalam is saying, is revolutionary in it self. He is actually talking about delivering a reusable missile, which today it does not exist, and doing it with beating todays missile capabilities.... For me it suggest that Mr. Kalam is close to accomplishing this feet because he would have never spoken it publicly..

Hi- how can a cruise missile deliver the payload and then return back to base?--
Dreaming is not bad- but should be logical-

How about an expendable hypersonic UCAV which can be used to deliver payload in enemy territory and can also be detonated if required?

The Space Shuttle is already a reusable missile, or rocket, whatever you may want to call it. Its structure can withstand the speeds of Mach 30+. It can be turned into manned/unmanned, whichever way you want it.

The only hurdle here is lack of expertise in cryogenic sciences that could provide us with the basics of achieving speeds of up to Mach 10+.

The shockwaves of high grade explosives can go beyond Mach 80, and with controlled usage, it can be used to propel reusable objects too.

So the only hindrance is attaining the speeds that he talked about. Rest everything is already there and achieved by others decades ago.

Only cryogenic engine ain,t gonna help. A robust guidance and control system is also required

I never said that cryogenic system will achieve everything. If it could, there would have been missiles taking speeds up to Mach 10 at the launch itself. I am talking about the plausibility of the argument, whether it is achievable by Indians or not.

Of all the things talked about, only the high speed is the requirement left that is not in place somewhere already. Rest everything is already there, re-usability, structure to withstand hypersonic speeds, stealth designs and paints... everything is there but the speed.

With proper funding and dedication, it is not only possible, but also highly probable by 2020. Remember the keyword here - dedication - that is the most difficult part in this process. Rest everything will fall in place by itself.

Dont you think any thing over the enemy territory and returning back kills the whole purpose of missiles?- Whats precious advantage a reusable returning to base hyper sonic UCAV can give?-

^^^ He was referring to china’s expression. Sir, better read it well..! no offence. :)

Pakistan is building a very humble missile, which will travel to a enemy territory, knock their doors and will them humbly that he is gonna explode so RUN!
