Complete information & Analysis on DCNS offers Mistral to India

I guess India is looking for 3 such massive ships.
Also does anyone have an idea on what Helicopters are proposed to be placed on these platforms?
@Capt.Popeye @sancho @Abingdonboy @Gessler

As Sancho said, we're going for 4 such ships...with atleast 2 of them being built in India.

As for helos, in addition to what Sancho mentioned, we can throw in the possibility of the CH-148 Cyclone as well.

Bangladesh is trying to import submarine from China.
With submarine, you can easily sink these ships..

With MPAs like P-8I Neptune, you can easily sink these submarines.

I heard you're trying to push some copy of Romeo-class crap down the throats of Bangladesh...that submarine
was designed before my Parents were born! Good luck in combat with that relic! It'd still be beeping for a target
while even the sonar on the Mistral would see it and send a dozen ASW choppers after it!

You guys are so funny...."with a submarine you can easily sink these ships" Ha!

.
I doubt how many years these P8 could service in India..
They may all fell to the ground before any conflict.

India already dropped 1 C130 transport plane, shortly after receiving it..
What else cannot happen?

Ok don't cry so much. We will make sure we drop some on Chinese copycats so that they can learn and copy few.

.
no matter what indian navy isnot going to buy mirtralshipsment for russians

its nothing but a trap for indiaand frenchies are trying to hit two if not three birds with a single stone

Too technical for a layman. What about the Japanese amphibian ships? All the shipyards in India are packed with defence orders and so many purchases in pipeline... where is Indian Navy headed to?
good question i guessMOD is looking forward to establish three shipyards dedicated to defnce production and will be managed under "make in india programm"

Try flying a plane under the radar few feet above ground...a plane of that size. PLAAF pilots will drop dead at the
thought of it.

Sir...I was asking you to compare the capabilities

And I showed you why a comparison doesn't make sense, since the Japanese helicopter carrier doesn't fit to IN's requirements of an LPD, so doesn't play any role. If you want to compare something, you need to know what vessels IN actually wants and sadly they form their RFI's so broad that not even the vendors actually knows that.

I meant the Cyclone, which is the version of the S92 and that Tata produces the S92 cabin surely will be an advantage, if Sikorsky can comply to ToT / offset requirements (still waiting for an official confirmation on the S70 selection).

There are two NMRH competitions - one for 10-ton class helos (S70B and NH90) and one for 12-ton class helos (where the CH148 is a likely competitor). Afaik there are no ToT requirements for the latter (or even for the former), however as you said offsets could be there...and I believe Sikorsky would go to offer them to Tata/TASL which would further benefit local manufacturing of components for Sikorsky choppers.
