Complete Ban or limited viewing of the forum for all indian users

How about all members including Pakistanis start being more responsible and stop trolling, counter trolling and start posting constructive talk? Eventually, those not following the rules would get moderation action and at some point, they might get life ban. You people yourselves make it hard for Mods to work here. PDF is an open platform and we welcome everyone irrespective of nationality, religion etc. So, if anyone wants the environment here to get beter, it has to start with you. SImply report anyone posting against the rules.

How can the we have any constructive talks when these trolls keep butting in. Case and point, look at the indian user above. How do you counter troll, who keep trolling even after presenting evidence to debunk his points. And when reporting to mods, no action is taken.

You say people get banned, and there was a system in place when 3rd times ban results in permanent ban. I have seen lot of users who have been banned more then 3 times, only to have their account back and running.

What we are requesting, is a trial run. 3 weeks, all indian users limited to indian section and members section. We can see how this trial runs. Maybe it might be what you are asking for from the start, better quality of content here. I am sure the mods could even use a 3 week break from high level of reports.

With all said and done in this thread, the majority have spoken for the need of restriction at minimum. There is a serious issue of Indian trolling and derailing of topics which needs to be curtailed.

If there is issue with quality of posts and trolling then apart from old members, new indian members/ new indian accounts should be limited to posting in indian defence forum for a period of time. There should also be a limit of posting threads per day per forum for all. Banning all indians would make this forum boring.

No doubt Dubious is a hard worker and dedicated, I saw it myself and vouch for it. Same goes for many other mods. It takes a lot time to go through member's requests, reports and threads. I agree that mods are scarce, that's always been the case.

All I can suggest is that members keep reporting diligently, and not responding/indulging trolls where you see them. This is the way to make the forum better. I personally don't agree at all with suggestion of banning Indian users on here, it's just not proportionate or productive.

But to be honest here, I do not agree with your reason of allowing Indian posters here...India and Pakistan has a history that is stacked against each other. So if any Pakistan or Indian posters believe, that we have still have a space that left for some nice talk, then it is just an illusion...Forget about others, i fee sympathetic to people like you, indus Pakistan and many other posters and the way, average Pakistan posters reacts to your posts...

So PDF in early 2009 to 2017 was vastly different where there was genuine posts with different ideas are posted. Definitely this is not the same post 2017. Forget Indian posters, did you see the threads where only Pakistan posters participate? Even without any participation from Indian poster, Pakistan troll posters has displayed amazing ability to allege and insult any one who is even remotely disagreement with other side.
So overall, i would like to say that your defence to continue with Indian poster is not going to help your fellow Pakistan posters.


Rather, i support fully with the poster to completely ban Indian poster here...It will be a big favor to Indian posters..Currently, due to Indian posters, all the fault-line among Pakistan posters are not visible.

I disagree. This is a discussion forum. Admins can better take care of threads. This forum is for everyone. Indians should not insult our country or make fun but similar rules also apply on us. A thread ban for few days is a good idea. I don't support ban on indian members.

Just my two cents: the presence of Indian members shows that Pakistanis are tolerant of opposing views or at least try to be so which is a good thing. If anything, their presence gives PDF a good reputation. Banning or limiting them will give PDF a bad reputation and the forum will become one sided.

The same is true about the presence of Israelis. Nobody should be banned based on nationality. Trolls should get banned though.
