I've been waiting for Obama to do this sort of thing for a long while. Hopefully this trend will continue until the "right" to bear arms no longer remains as a right.

Civilized states won't let their citizens start arming up like that. Civilized societies should strive to keep civilians away from lethal arms.

Couldn't disagree with you more. This is unconstitutional, secondly Congress will intervene, third public and NGOs and PACs will oppose this measure. This will not be a ban by law but by regulation if it did go through. Which means the very next President could undo this provision. So if anything it would be a temporary restriction.

Although I doubt they will succeed in banning the M855 for private citizens.
