All that sounds nice and fancy in theory but isnt exactly applicable in business!Just like how you train your muscle, you give it some resistance to fight with. It is only when facing a formidable competitor, a company will drop all the nonsense / infighting, get down to the business and innovate.
No, not exactly...China's textile is used by many all over the world. So us selling you raw material is actually benefiting your export rates and creating a monopoly which Pakistan actually has a chance at. I mean why should we sell you raw material? Flex your own muscle right? For example, if you sell Chinese cotton and Chinese sell clothes back to you with cheaper price than Pakistani textile makers, that means Pakistani textile makers are awfully inefficient. Chinese can do it cheaper even with extra transportation cost. Now, learn from Chinese and improve Pakistan textile making efficiency so that extra transportation cost will put Chinese in disadvantage. It is urgent because it is a matter of life and death for a company when facing a competitor. Without it, what is the incentive for Pakistani textile makers to improve?
Actually we can compete with China...All we need to do is prioritize ourselves! In Pakistan if we manage to lower taxes on input materials and cost of energy we can compete China on price in local market
Why not, if Chinese pays the highest price? Should Pakistani cotton farmers not to sell to the buyer with the highest price? Are you suggesting them to sacrifice for others? It is the competition that hurts competitors and that is what competition is all about. Competition is what trains "muscle". Buying and selling are NOT competition. It is mutually beneficial exchange.I mean why should we sell you raw material? Flex your own muscle right?
That is the problem it doesnt..Finished goods cost more and China will pay if we make them and sell them...For now we are making and exporting textiles to America and EU. If we dont sell to China, the ONLY fear is the monopoly dominance of flexing muscle to push us to sell more to China thus, reducing our own value added products and exports! Why not, if Chinese pays the highest price? It is not at all beneficial if it is going to cost us our textile industry! China can make "cheap" stuff...But we can make export quality stuff with the same cotton/ wool / raw products if we dont sell it to China!Pakistan doesn't have much of an industry anyways, maybe a presence in textiles.Pakistani consumers will benefit from cheaper Chinese goods while agriculture can boost Pak economy with help of Chinese tech and machinery
It can only be a monopoly with the backing of Pakistan government, which you should watch closely. So long as Pakistan government allows Pakistan business enter competition without much imposed obstacle, it cannot be a monopoly, but only a competitor. That is the problem it doesnt..Finished goods cost more and China will pay if we make them and sell them...For now we are making and exporting textiles to America and EU. It is not mutually beneficial when one is losing more! It is not about selling the raw materials but how much is being sold! And it is not about China! It is about Pakistan! My address was not to China but to the locals to wake up and understand the dynamics!
And that is exactly what my post was about! You see in CPEC this wasnt highlighted! Chinese trade, Chinese workmanship, Chinese products, Chinese labour all were highlighted in details but not our side....so it is actually looking like a monopoly based on loans and favours! It can only be a monopoly with the backing of Pakistan government, which you should watch closely. That is why I suggest to watch your politicians closely. Buying political favors is not an alien idea to Chinese. But the focus should not be on Chinese, since bribe takers usually don't discriminate bribers, Chinese or non-Chinese.And that is exactly what my post was about! We need modern production Technical imports not Luxury items.
The industry is being purposely neglected.
Labor may not be that cheap in Pakistan but quality and originality is.
Pakistanis are innovaters but are genuine creators as well.
The government has not prioritized our industry in the past 30 years.
Pakistan maybe an agriculture country but its industry is well Respected specially masonry and Wood works.
Why do you peddle absolute lies that can be disproved so easily
World Banks report by Chief economist Asia region
The report's second message is that the potential is really there with favourable external and internal conditions. Externally, labour costs in Pakistan are now extremely competitive. They are two times lower than India and five times lower than China. It means that well-managed firms can find ways to employ the workforce productively and they can be really competitive, especially in labour-intensive industries. The other favourable condition is that, with rapid urbanisation, conditions are now in place for industries to cluster together into ecosystems, which can create economies of agglomeration, specialisation,
cooperation, as well as competition, between clusters, cities, and provinces.

THE REST IS ABSOLUTE LIES AS WELL WILL POST LATER NEED TO HAVE A BATH
The factor that matters is the labor productivity per cost unit, not just cost alone. That is why American labors can be both competitive and expensive at the same time. Why do you peddle absolute lies that can be disproved so easily

And my posts and personal views are always addressed to my own people...It is just that in this case China is a big consumer of our natural resources and the politicians seemed to have unknowingly or knowingly started profetting off it!That is why I suggest to watch your politicians closely. That is the problem for any government that has significant power in economy: way too much temptation. And my posts and personal views are always addressed to my own people...It is just that in this case China is a big consumer of our natural resources and the politicians seemed to have unknowingly or knowingly started profetting off it!
Temptation is everyone's weakness...However, those who fall to temptation they shouldnt be let alive! Coz they dont cause problems just for themselves (health issues) but for the nation and the coming generations making it a grievous crime! That is the problem for any government that has significant power in economy: way too much temptation.
