Commander Turkish Naval Forces is on an official visit to Pakistan.

Admiral Bulent Bostanoglu, Commander Turkish Naval Forces is on an official visit to Pakistan on the invitation of Chief of the Naval Staff.

Upon arrival at Naval Headquarters, the Turkish Naval Chief was received by Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, Chief of the Naval Staff. A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Navy clad in ceremonial dress presented him Guard of Honour. The visiting dignitary was then introduced to Principal Staff Officers at Naval Headquarters.

Later, Admiral Bulent Bostanoglu, called on Chief of the Naval Staff in his office, where he held detailed discussion on professional matters with his counterpart. Various avenues of cooperation between the two navies were also discussed in detail. A comprehensive brief on Pakistan Navy’s role in Regional Maritime Security situation and Operational Development in the Indian Ocean was also given to the visiting dignitary.

During his visit, the Admiral will be conferred with Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military) by President Mr. Mamnoon Hussain; one of Pakistan’s highest Military Awards. Admiral Bulent Bostanoglu is also scheduled to call on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee.

At the second leg of his visit, Commander Turkish Naval Forces is scheduled to meet Naval Field Commands at Karachi and Lahore and will also visit PN Fleet/units.

Admiral Bulent Bostanoglu, besides holding the appointment as Commander Turkish Naval Forces, has had the privilege to serve on numerous coveted appointments including, Commander Turkish Fleet, Commander Northern Sea Area, Commander Naval Training and Education Command, Chief of Communications, Chief of Staff Fleet Command, Commander Surface Action Group and Northern Task Group, Chief of Operations and Commander Turkish Naval War College. The Dignitary has also served as Naval Attaché at Athens, Greece.

Admiral Bulent Bostanoglu, is a graduate of Turkish Naval War College, Turkish Armed Forces College and US Naval War College.

The Commander Turkish Naval Forces is recipient of numerous National and International Military Awards and Honours including Turkish Armed Forces Medal of Honor, Turkish Armed Forces Distinguished Service Medal and NATO Medal for the former Yugoslavia.

This visit is expected to greatly augment the bilateral cooperation between both the Navies.

How much does it cost ?

With Turkey setting up a base in Qatar, I expect Turkey and Pakistan to be conducting more joint exercises together.

250 million for the corvette version and a bit more for the f100 version. some people are forgetting that they need money to buy them

though Milgem is expensive yet is more capable than any of current frigates of PN. We now should focus on more capable and stealthy platforms. Our current OHP is a sitting duck.The only frigates which have some capable Air/sea defense are our old Type21 frigates. F22Ps with SAMs having ranges up to 18km are quite vulnerable against enemy .
Our single OHP is a junk even if old harpoons are installed on it.

And I don't see indian forces landing in Saudi Arabia for a massive military exercise. India doesn't have much role outside the ganga lands (hindustan)..While Pakistan enjoys critical alliances and military relationships with many countries in the Arab World and Turkey as well.

We have maintained military presence in various Arab countries throughout the last century and we continue to do so even today. indians couldn't even maintain a peace-keeping presence in sri lanka lol..forget about anything else. indians are utterly irrelevant to outside world and have no network of alliances (solid, historical alliances that is) in international system. Saudi Arabia paid for our oil expenses as a final go-ahead for our nuclear tests. Anything like that for india by any such country? lol..forget that. Pakistani officers played a crucial role in saving the current Jordanian state as we know it...and I won't even talk about the military and state-to-state relationship between Pakistan and Turkey since its not a secret how Pakistan and Turkey are time-tested allies and friends and go above and beyond nominal alliances such as Indo-US or Indo-Russia.

It is india that is, and has been, irrelevant in terms of security networks in Middle-East, Persian Gulf, and so on. Pakistan has been a critical player and will most likely remain so.

All of that was in the past based on strong relationships with the GCC powers and Turkey. The current government in Pakistan seems intent on ruining Pakistan's alliances. In such a situation, it will be natural for the GCC to tilt towards India as the greater power in the region.

LOL...india isn't a "greater power" in the region. india is just the larger country. india's capability to influence/play a part beyond its borders is much more limited as compared to Pakistan--which is part of a global network of alliances within Islamic World and has been a crucial founding member of various international organizations such as OIC etc. And not only that, Pakistan HAS BEEN playing active military role in Arab World throughout its existence. Even today, Pakistani forces landed to take part in the largest ever military exercises in Arab World (Thunder of North). Turks are coming over there as well.

Well I read up on Naval Capabilities of Pakistan, F-22P seemed to make no sense to me, keeping to your analogy - Usage and Class. It would seem Milgem which is a corvette sized ship is more capable than a frigate.. Or am I missing something ?
