Bosphorus Naval News
Admiral Masahiko Sugimoto, the commander of Maritime Self Defence Forces was in Turkey between 3 and 6 February.
He met with with his Turkish counterpart Admiral Eşref Uğur Yiğit as part of his formal visit to Ankara. As Japanese constitution prohibits Japan to export weapon systems the two admirals had not much to talk, except from pleasantries.
But I bet they have talked about the on going piracy problem in the Gulf of Aden too, as both countries send warships to the region.
