Coke Studio is a trademark of Pakistan . LoL . Which one is trademark Coke or Studio ?? . Coke Studio is OWNED BY MTV and Coca Cola . It started in Brasil after which they started in Pakistan and India . And by the way what's your obsession with Chawal ?? Don't Get much to eat or what ??

mtv unplugged India was much better than coke studio.

Its actually the dynamics which are to be blamed. Where film industry failure in a way nurtured the prominence of both regional as well as pop/rock/classic music at solo levels (resulting in the establishment of independent music industry). Exact opposite happened in India where the booming filming industry kept independent music industry from establishing hereself. The last band I know of in India is bombay vikings, nothing after that. Even for Coke Studio, I would rather like to see AR Rahman producing the music rather than anybody else.

I think its not right to compare MTV coke studio with Pakistani Coke studio. Pakistani coke studio had more regional/folk flavour in al all their episodes and you have seen the best fusion of folk/sufi/classical with pop if you listen songs without any bias towards singers and thanks to Rohail hayat. Those who are calling us failed industry hire our failed singers to give different spice and life to their industry. Indians commercialise everything be it music, food or culture
