Coalition forces intercept two ballistic missiles towards Jazan

The Air Defense Forces of the Yemeni Coalition for Support of Legitimacy intercepted two ballistic missiles fired by the Houthi militia on Monday towards Jazan in southwestern Saudi Arabia.

The spokesman of the coalition Colonel Turki al-Maliki said that "at exactly four and twenty-three minutes this evening, the air defense forces of the coalition spotted the launch of two ballistic missiles by the Huthi-backed militia from within the Yemeni territory (Saada province) towards the territory of the Kingdom," pointing That "the two missiles were in the direction of the city of Jazan and launched deliberately to target civilian and populated areas, and that the air defense forces of the coalition intercept them all," pointing out that "it resulted in the scattered fragments of rockets on residential neighborhoods and recorded no injuries or damage At the time of preparing this statement ".

Maliki said that this hostile action by the Houthi militia supported by Iran proves the continued involvement of the Iranian regime's support of the Houthi armed militia with qualitative capabilities in clear and explicit defiance and the violation of UN resolution (2216) and resolution (2231) in order to threaten the security of Saudi Arabia and pose a threat to regional and international security.. The firing ballistic missiles at populated cities and villages is contrary to international humanitarian law.

Actually the scuds/hwasongs if modified very likely could,indeed that was the debate between the western "experts" on these missile types,were these locally modified,modified with iranian help ie design data or perhaps some components such as new guidance systems or were these brand new weapons supplied by iran,the last seems fairly unlikely for obvious reasons.If you want an example of what an unschooled relatively industrially backward country can do with a scud class then look no further than iraq in the late 80s with the al-hussein.
