Punjab should be divided into 3 provinces,however, this is excellent start.

By three provinces I meant Bahawalpur itself could be a province. With South and North Punjab!

The credit for the creation of the state for Saraikis should solely go to PTI and PMIK only.

Central or eastern Punjab ( Lahore, Gujranwala, Kasur, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Gujrat Okara etc)
And South Punjab. Thek ha yeh divide?

What local name? Native language of the 3 districts ( bahawalnagar, Vehari and Khanewal) of new province is Punjabi. And there are a lot of Punjabi speaking people in Multan RYK and Bahawalpur.

Ok then give it a local name in Punjabi. I don't know what south is in Punjabi, maybe name it that. 'South' Punjab has same vibes for the name as NWFP.

A small and simple Janoob could be nice too, I heard it being used in the Multan Sultan promotion video when Ali Tareen took over the franchise.

If PTI is able to Make South Punjab a Reality Not only that Region will belong to PTI for Ages But the stage will be set for further Division of Existing Provinces I just hope they will be based on administrative lines and not Ethnic and Linguistic lines.

To join people in a group we need to have a common line that joins or differentiates them. An administrative unit cannot be purely based on administrative objectives as it will strip the people of a bond and an identity. Without this the new unit will remain inherently unstable and collapse. Just take a look at your neighbour nehru did away with this province thing at the right time and was not based on mere administrative ease.

Africa is a fine example where it was carved based on administrative and exploitive basis and now the situation is visible to everyone.

It's a sindhi word for South, hindi word is dakshin

I would welcome any new District or Provinces that are based on Administrative basis not on Ethnic lines ... Pakistan needs at least 4-6 new Provinces dividing each of the current provinces by 2-3 .

It should start somewhere. India jas successfully divided the states where there is fear of seperatism into several smaller estates.

south punjab has its own plotical dynamics just like other parts of country electables win election everytime and it will keep happen same way ... this system must be wiped out and a new system should come bassed on local govt and president .. in a country where people cast their vote against a plate of biryani what change could be expect from a system??
