it costs around $1 billion per ship, which does not include the missiles and maintenance costs...but this is not the major obstacle,
the main thing is that the demand of advanced Agies destoryer from PLAN is far out stretching our current production capacity, besides when 12 052D order is set, the demand for production of 12,000 ton monster 055 is also imminent!
so the question is when our production capacity will come to an equilibrium with the demand, and the maturity of 055, which i dont think it will be as soon as 2020.
but even PN has it around 2025, 052C/D will still be most advanced destoryer in South Asia region
