Its pretty well known chanakyans backed it after 1975 shepahi-janata biplop (revolution). Indira Gandhi was furious and wanted to teach "ungrateful" BD's a lesson. How dare we sought to go out chanakyan sphere of influence. Infact RAW was inclined to backing CHT insurgency long before that. Also awami mythical Bengali nationalism made matters worse. There was no logical reason for Chakmaas to accept Shiek Mujib's Tora Shobai Bangali hoi-a ja rhetoric . Either way it cost us numerous army and Bangladeshi lives and fostered the hands of dadas in CHT. Even 1997 peace accord was an indo-awami orchestrated one. We may be the only country where a terrorist separatist like Shuntu larma is still wielding influence and roaming free due to awami State pardon.

Everything has some true ground, with time enemy people exploit that. The insurgency's root cause can be linked to Ayub's Kaptai dam decision back in 60s without discussing or even notifying the local people. That was really a terrible moment for the local. My brother told me that while they dived under water there at Kaptai lake there were still the houses of the locals. Anyone would stand against such unjust, Bangali people would take no time to protest it.

Thing is we can create new problem, can't solve it. It's simple third hand will try to exploit but have we been sincere in handling the situation? BAL in one word is enemy of Bangladesh, so let's forget them. Unfortunately, no govt. did deal it the way it should have been. Zia, Ershad all ruthlessly dealt it or had to do it. Before complaining third hand that we always do like regarding 71 war if we try to find our problem 1st, I believe we can resolve the issue. Hilly guys altogether are nice people.

This mujib was one confused fella. After the war, he did everything which he fought against the PK army. Bangladeshis have become a laughing stock for this piece of "art"

You are right at first indicating Pakistan. Then you didnt clearly say it was Zia. Who orchestrated the conflicts
between Bengali and Pahari. By settling the Bengals unnaturally. But from a nationalist point of view I support
it. Then BNP. It never took a good decision to solve these disputes. At least AL taken some steps to stop the
conflicts. But no one ever taken steps to fully solve these.

These pics looks so new. There are still some insurgents remaining.
