Lol. We can build check dams that powers hydro projects. We can build as many hydro projects as we can. Cry a river. We cannot divert water. And that's it. But can use it in a way we see it. Infact IVT is detrimental to India's interest. In 1960, with Partition still new, with no new wars fought India generously signed an agreement with a "brother" Pakistan. Its a mistake.

Enough of this BS treaty, I really think that India should start exploring avenues to abrogate this inequitable IWT since we really desperately need water to feed our parched western deserts.

Just have a look at the satellite imagery of India's western border that is not actually far from the Indus and tell the people living there that they are being over-dramatic. The issue of water is a lot more serious than that.

I think you guys have taken IWT for granted and don't realize how lopsided it really is, in favor of Pakistan.

I think that's more t o do with India's soft power. Even with India not diverting water from all the 6 rivers, Pakistani politics is claiming India is stealing waters. Hell, we still have not diverted 3 rivers for our use in parched areas. And after that depending upon the politics of the region, we should weigh IWT.

Afghanistan will be digging its own grave like it is already doing. The last time Afghanistan agitated Pakistan at the border, we started building fences and gates. We fired a few artillery rounds and the coward Afghans came to their senses. We all know what happened next. Afghanistan depends on Pakistan for almost everything and that isn't changing anytime soon. Afghanistan doesn't even have hospitals to treat its wounded soldiers who attack Pakistan. Instead, Afghan soldiers have to be treated in Pakistani hospitals by Pakistani doctors. All Pakistan has to do is close its border for a couple of days and we will see who will hold on the longest.

Afghanistan is a lot of hot air. It has developed a bad habit of accusing others for its own woes. It is an impoverished and underdeveloped society. Its economy is based on opium trade. Its people are tribal and only know one thing which is to fight and feud. It cannot possibly fight against Pakistan. If Pakistan only pissed on Afghanistan, it would drown and seize to exist.

Pakiatanis are so ignorant that they have their own river after Kabul. It's high time that the name Chitral river should be used instead of Kabul. In the future Afghanistan will built dams on this river and divert the whole river of Chitral.
