Chinese warships visit Seychelles
On April 14, the warship formation composed of missile frigates Zhoushan and Xuzhou of the Navy of the Chinese Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) arrived at the Port of Victoria, Seychelles, the last stop of its visit to three African countries, and began its five-day visit to Seychelles.
It is said that the warship formation commander will visit senior government officials and military officers of Seychelles including James Alix Michel, president of Seychelles, Brig. Gen. Leopold Payet, chief of Seychelles Defense Forces, and Joel Morgan, minister for Home Affairs, Environment and Transport of Seychelles.
The visiting officers and men of the PLA Navy will take part in local volunteer labor and other activities including a football match with the Seychelles Coast Guard.
