Chinese Viewers Can't Get Enough of Indian TV Shows

Africa in general and North Africa in particular dote on Bollywood. There were a few Africans in one Bollywood video reprimanding Indian Salman Khan/Shah Rukh Khan fans to stop fighting with each other. They said Bollywood was the best thing that has ever happened to them.
link please if you could.
I saw a trailer of mexican version of 3 idiots, "3 idiotas" , they call it , check it out.

Yes i know Indians wanna feel important(<==lolz)- but the title description states:

"A dance, which is an interpretation of the customs of the Western Regions, demonstrates the gorgeous Silk Road."

and it states several countries of the regions west of china, not just exclusively India- and the dance items in the video are indeed of several different cultures- including Egyptian, Italian, Russia, Indian, Burmese and Chinese itself.

I know it hurts you but Chinese spend considerable energy learning all about India because they value Indian art. Look at the recreation of Bollywood set and the attention to details in the dance.

Indians are hardly aware of any other Chinese art form other than Jackie Chan or Shaolin movies.

There are too many videos with Africans commenting on it. I will have to look for that particular one. Yeah Mexicans, Peruvians, Bolivians, most of Central Americans are huge Bollywood consumers. I won't be surprised if Bollywood beats Hollywood in its global popularity scale in the next few years the way things are going.

Hmm they are a bit like ex-USSR with its Bolshevik ballet and there art performances, aiming at perfection. Some of the most spectacular stage performances are by Chinese and they seem to adore Indian culture and arts. The Chinese on PDF must be very discomfited by this.

Check out the Indian part in it. It is beautiful.

That is about abt Silk Road showcase different culture. Bragging like this only show your inferiority complex.

Don't make me laugh, dance performance are replicate across cultures. How many viewers in that video?

Indian art? Bollywood set are cheap and historical inaccurate. Compare your epic Babhuali with Red Cliff or Hero.

That video is a copy of the original CCTV video and hence the low viewership. Did the dance look like cheap production to you? The set and the costumes itself would have costed a bomb, leave alone the hours of practice the dancers have put in to get all the nuances of the dance and song right.

Irony being that even shaolin kung fu was taught to them by Bodhi dharma.

There was a Tami movie being made on Bodhidharma and his visit to china. See the trailer below,

You are talking to somebody who has no clue of any art form. He does not play any musical instrument, nor does he paint, or sculpt, or know any dance form.

He thinks all that takes just a few days work :P

Bodharma was a mythical figure, not historical. Buddhism is non-violent, fighting isn't allowed. In China, traditional of martial arts got mixed into Taoism and Buddhist. That's why you have martial Buddhist monks, which you don't find anywhere else in the world.

You picked one segment of the show to brag about Indian dance, how pathetic can you get? Do you know countries are portrayed in the entire show? LOL

Point is they are learning and dancing Indian dances because they love it while we are not even aware of any dance form of China.

Thank you for the videos, the dances are nothing much to talk about though the special affects are damn good.

The show portrays different cultures along Silk Road. It doesn't matter if you're aware or not, Chinese dance are world renowned, just like Chinese movies, music and food are vastly popular in India. Youtube has tonnes of Chinese movies are dubbed in Hindi.

Martial arts is for defensive purposes not for offensive purposes. Hence martial arts are not conflict with Buddhist teachings of peace.

The reason Buddhists monks had to learn martial arts was to defend themselves should be attacked while preaching in an alien land away from India.

Fighting isn't allowed in Buddhism. When attacked, monks in nalanda surrendered themselves, that's Buddhist non-violence. Don't make up stuff to claim fake glory when you know nothing about buddhism.

Monks in Nalanda were MONKS, not warriors. They were suppose to be protected by the Kshatriya (warriors) who lost the war with the islamic barbarians.

But you must be crazy if you think ALL Buddhists were Monks :cheesy: ........... do you think that all 100% of population in a Buddhist nation are monks ? lol.
