Chinese videogame targets US troops

Has anyone played the game Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2?

There is one horrific level, where you walk into a Russian airport, and just start shooting innocent civilians left and right.

It's a good game overall, but that mission was very shocking and controversial.

In the Call of Duty series, most of the enemies are Arabs and Russians.

Why are the Chinese acting like us Americans? Are they going to create Vietnamese soldiers as enemies as well? Stop copying us. We have to right to kill North Koreans, Taliban, Russian, Al Qaeda, Mexicans, etc. Its copyrighted.

omg! your post is one of the best freak out comments on this forum.

The game looks quite fun!

Mission Name: ''No Russian''

pretty brutal stuff....a very un-necessary part of the game. Black Ops is better, at least you get to destroy soviet nuclear installations and nova gas production facilities. There is no honour or joy in shooting unarmed civilians in a video game --though of course I did play Grand Theft Auto IV a couple years back and it was hell fun

in Modern Warfare, yes. In Black Ops the enemy is mostly communist soviets, afew others here and there.

on a side note, did you ever see the movie ''Thank You for Smoking'' ??? There was the part where the protagonist (a tobacco lobbyist) is trying to work with a studio executive to get cigarettes away from "RAVs" (Russians, Arabs and villains) and into the hands of someone kids can look up to--"Indiana Jones meets Jerry Maguire, but on two packs a day".

GTA is insane lol. Even the most peaceful and timid people in real life, turn into mass-murderers in that game. :P

No I haven't seen that movie, but I will definitely check it out now.

Yeah..that level kinda made me re-think,why I was even playing that game?I left it at that for quite some time until one day I decided to check whats there after that part.

You don't have to play "No Russian" to finish the game.

It seems that the U.S. videogame/movie industry is moving away from presenting China as an enemy (changing China to North Korea) while the Chinese are doing the opposite. Maybe Hu is doing away with the "Hexie" concept???

Hexie shehui is his legacy though, I don't think he'll want it to be forgotten.

I'm actually surprised that Hollywood and the US videogame industry isn't making a big enemy out of China.

Hollywood did that to the Germans, the Japanese, the Russians, the Arabs etc. Why not the Chinese?

He had good intentions but it was a pretty stupid concept. Restriction of intellectual freedom not only led to a decline in Chinese art and literature but also hampered China's soft power projection. Hu's propaganda department is a complete failure. China is seeing as aggressive by outsiders and too soft by her citizens.

Perhaps this is just a plan to buy time. I am not willing to dismiss this hypothesis until Xi becomes leader.

i always wish war could be fought online between the two army . :partay: . both ego can be satisfied and no more loss of human lives .

I think it is hypocrisy to blame someone that he is shooting at US soldiers. So far the games showed US soldiers shooting at everything one can imagine. The moment one game allowed to play the Taleban side it was getting into troubles. We are allowed to see how western troops drop bombs on civilians but why not the other way around? Suddenly it is unhuman or whatever. This is a clear sign that western powers indoctrinate masses.
