Chinese Use www.baidu.com Best search engine

hmmm, a search engine that allows a dictatorship to tell it what it can and can't show the people. For fear the people will find the truth. Yea that really makes for a great search engine.

China is one-party dictatorship,

but USA is two-party dictatorship :smokin:

Try searching Tiananmen Square protests commies!

I tried to search map of Taiwan in Baidu and the response was like this..

For any queries related to Taiwan, Tibet, uighurs, human rights, democracy , actual defence budget and few other confidential topics..

"please try google.com"

This is the result of my research on "map of Taiwan" from Baidu: °Ù¶ÈËÑË÷_map of Taiwan

1) It only proves that you are the biggest liar as your democratic media.

2) It secondly proves that there are a lot gullible fools in this world. Some would thank you full-heartedly for your lies.

And have a look at this - I searched for 'tibet dalai lama'.

°Ù¶ÈËÑË÷_tibet dalai lama

Not a single option listed is from outside of the Chinese media, which obviously are state run entities

So much for competition with google :D Google did the right thing by opting out. Yikes - the commie strategies!

How silly is your statement!

Why would a Chinese company spend money to go against Chinese laws and to support anti-China propaganda? In addition, don't you see many links around the bottom going to Wiki?

You need to do more homework to work for RAW or 50 cents more efficiently.

Is this because you are in US ?:pop:

The party is the dictator. And the people get no say in who is president only the CCP. here in the U.S. the people get to choose who is president. Also you need no political affiliation to run for office here. just the support of the people. though most identify themselves as Republican, democrat, or independent.

But he's in India.

Also the same about tank man and blahblah you love to fall in love. You can always find links down the bottom.

Stop whining, bash less, and use more brain.... you'll get respected more...

google steals thousands of books and has a lawsuit pending, and steals chinese company codes (a separate lawsuit on that), while losing market share.

so whats the easiest way to avoid huge fines and an even worse image?

make a fake hacker attack and then "refuse to work with a dictatorship" of course.

i previously used google to search for english scientific articles but will be switching to yahoo now.

Whatever it is that you are smoking, you need to stop and get yourself to a political science class.

Plurality voting system - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The US has a 'first past the post' electoral system...

Duverger's law is an idea in political science which says that constituencies that use first-past-the-post systems will become two-party systems, given enough time.
...And this system tends to reduce divergent opinions to two main opponents. As long as there are at least two contentious parties vying for popular alliances and eventually winning an office, it is not possible to have a dictatorship even with only two main opposition parties. Get a clue and hopefully get a vote.

The fact is that

USA wants to dominate the World,

But the president of USA is elected only by American citizen.

We don't need American to tell me where is territory of China.

Tibet issue is just a trick for USA to weaken China.

China has legitimate sovereignty over Tibet!

We don't need Western Whites to tell me what is China!

I checked again & I don't see any wiki links from where I am accessing.

And going against Chinese law is exactly what I am talking about. Is accessing information outside Chinese media a crime? Is everything outside your thick walls a propaganda? If yes, your statement is perfectly valid that the company is spending money to transgress Chinese laws. By the way, if you are in US, I would have expected you to have a broader view, but alas......

And the bolded part just sums up your mindset. You are here for trivia & blindfolded national support, nothing else. Otherwise you would have raised points with more intellect

Cmon mate, getting on your red high horse and debating intellectual property rights is an argument you are not going to win.

All this hogwash about politics is just hot air.

It all comes down to this;

What would YOU prefer;
-Filtered internet
-Unfiltered internet
-The choice to use a filter or not

We prefer unfiltered internet, but we dont prefer the other nation say BS about our internal problem. BTW: Did US ask iraq people if they prefer peace or a war?

Internet is a global free media .. there are more than 200 countries in the world and each of them have different opinion.

It doesn't make sense to only take the good things about ur country.
Its a bad practice to filter the bad things of any particular country.
What if the Zimbabwe filter all that's about their economy.
What if Israel filters anything related to palestine?
What if India and Pakistan filter everything about Kashmir??
what if Russia filter everything about communism?
what if US filter everything about iraq, Vietnam, Hiroshima bombing, Afghanistan etc etc?/

This is a global world we are living and people are free to choose from a variety of choices.

If people of china are getting influenced by the western propaganda, it shows their vulnerability and eagerness to isolate only the "neede" information to its citizens.

And oh yes ive tried baidu. im more comfortable with the language "English" which is a common language and google is still the best.

I dont think its US governments mouthpiece either. if u check the origin of blogs , sites and everything, asian countries have more majority than US itself.

i expect nobody would be looking for US newpaper edition, everybody is happy with their countries national daily online.

So these talk of google being pro US and anti china is pure BS.

Anybody can put a blog, it doesn't need the knowledge of rocket science attached to it.

If any country wants filtering they can try the inter country networks rather than filtering stuff from around the world in a global network.
