exactly. why does india care if chinese think they're backwards.
just stop bragging.
And why do you care if you think we are bragging?
Just stop listening and answering.
BTW, in my opinion, India is not going to be a fully developed country in the next 20years.It can compare and even surpass developed countries in terms of percapita incomes and other economic factors, within next 10 years or so. But in terms of economic benefits reaching the poorest of poor, we will take a lot more time.Politics and beurocracy will never let that happen in such a short time.
Though I must also state that as a country we have the habit of surprising ourselves. No one would have thought of telecom revolution the way it unfolded in India. We have lowest tariffs in the world ( SIM card comes @ Rs 10 with Rs 10 free talktime and Life long free incoming! plus New Mobile Phone starting @ Rs 799, Chinese of course. And do not expect good quality at this price). We planned urban roads and flyovers keeping in mind the expected increase in vehicular traffic for the next 15 years and in most of the places we are facing traffic problems already within 5-6 years, thanks to increasing incomes of middle and lower middle class Indians who can afford cars and bikes. My native village in Uttaranchal (near border area to Nepal & China) has electricity and road connectivity with direct bus service to Delhi (not to mention the best roads we can possibly have, courtsy Border roads Organisation).
Jist of the matter is, we just need to keep up with pur good work along with cleaning up the Politico-beurocratic $h!t and ,,,,you never know! Nothing is Impossibe, ask Chinese friends here. They know it better how to make the impossible possible.
No harm if most of the chinese think India is poor. more important is what we think of ourselves and what we want to become. Not what we want to show Chinese.
P.S. For Chinese friends here, We take you as a role model as far as Economic & Infrastructure growth that you have achieved. for rest of the matters, we are from a different league altogether.
