Why would she want to stay in a society that is quickly collapsing in fear, anger and economic ruin for the sake of saving $25K which is basically one shopping trip for her? These are the types of people buying $8 million dollar mansions in Palo Alto in CASH.

It's not just the virus she is afraid of. Things are only starting to get worse. Wait until number of patients overwhelm the health system, it'll be like in Italy where the medical staff decides who gets a respirator and who does not. Moreover, being a Chinese, she is an easy target of attacks and harassment. Americans are stockpiling not just toilet papers, but guns and ammo. If the situation goes out of control, its everyone fending for him/herself.
