indeed that is a good question, if we piece together the Indian version of the events, what happened was that Indian soldiers intruded into Chinese territory, "unleashed a reign of terror" on the Chinese, killed 43 or 56 Chinese soldiers, then some of the chinese soldiers ran away, the Indians didn't want to spare them so they further chased them inside Chinese territory, and now the Indians want revenge? that makes no sense, just how much is their hunger for revenge! do they want to kill 10-56 Chinese soldiers for every Indian soldier they lose? even the Americans are not that hungry for revenge.
