Well to be fair China has offered unlimited support to help Italy fight the epidemic.

An expert team of 9 from China is already in Italy, bringing with them expertise and life saving equipment with them.

Italy needs all the help they can get and China is the best placed to help right now.

When Italy got hit hard and is in the thick of once in a life time crisis, EU abandoned Italy and left Italy in the lurch, for Italy as an EU member, I think Italian public are doing this to mock EU.

There has been a surge of violence against Asians in Italy based on Italian news reports over the last week to ten days. The reaction in the local press hasn’t been very favorable to China either. Perhaps the Chinese aid and support will change hearts and minds.

Well yes thanks to China and COVID-19 I had to postpone my trip to Norway to visit friends. Play the Chinese anthem? My neighbors are Chinese it might freak them out, they came to the US to escape the CCP after all.

UK has got the extra 3-4 weeks to prepare for this and hopefully the social distancing that companies/public are doing along with regular hand washing with soap will help to mitigate the outbreak.
I have little faith in Boris Johnson as well.

Boris is milling around like his typical "brexit done, I'm on a gap year now" self and not noticing what's actually going on in his country.

I ordered my supplies online from Sainsbury’s after grabbing a couple of the few left in the store yesterday.
Ordered the bare minimum of soap, laundry cleanser( kills all viruses in washing machines at low temp.) and surface wipes to last 2-3 months.

UK it seems will have to fight this disease at the public/company level rather than the government “herd immunity” idea.

It's not just the governments here. 1% of citizens are hoarding the most critical supplies.

This pandemic will pass, maybe a year or so from now once global herd immunity and a vaccine are established. However, I've learned that British people are largely a selfish bunch and the British government does nothing to control them and their selfish urges.
