What's new

Chinese J-20 stealth fighter not cause for concern, Rafale too has stealth features: Air Marshal

Rafale is little bit stealthy without weapon, without weapon! How difficult to understand it?! genius!bor I forget it can fire laser gun from its nose.

How many emitter does RBE2 AESA have? J20 AESA has around 2000. I don't know what 36 rafales can do to China? You need some loans to buy more?
French sell india the story that a 4th generation rafale can beat a 5th generation J20
If india would like belive it ,just let them belive it, during the war, it is their money and their soldier's life.
It is a good thing for us, wish india cost more and more on rafael, let them keep their dream beat j20 with rafale, indians are cute:-)

Come on. Leave them alone.

I've never said that. My point is that those stealth aspects are complex and cannot be handled without information that are classified for both aircrafts.

And by the way we believe in France that no plane can be stealth on every band and that air defence systems are heading toward networked specialised radar systems. With those networks of radars all aircraft will be seen.

So coming soon the US F-35 and the Chinese J20 "stealth is the ultimate death story" will come to an end.

Time will tell.

Well, you get to have a stealth fighter to test your theory.

There are early batch of J-20 (which dont have the target engine installed, so it is kind of under powered now) suppiled to airforce for combat evaluation purpose as early as august, and the primillary results are that 4th gen fighter, even with AWACS support, will have a very hard time to defeat a stealth fighter.

Stealth fighters are not just hard to detect, it also hard to be locked on, and the LO give them the freedom that they can pick where to fight and when to leave, for other fighters it kind of like footmen try to pick a fight with someone on a horse in the past.

ANYBODY ELS WATCHING A DOCUMENTARY NOW ON BRITISH TV THE COMING WAR ON CHINA BY LEGENDARY FILM MAKER JHON PILGER? THIS FASCINATING DOCUMENTRY NEEDS TO BE UPLOADED @Horus

Stealth fighter are not hard to detect but you just need to triangulate the signal to detect them. That is electromagnetic rays fire by one device received by other device can detect stealth fighter jet that means you just need to coordinate between different radars to share data to detect stealth. Stealth fighters can not be shot down by radar guided but they are still vulnerable to IR guided. plus signal filtering of Low Frequency radars can detect stealth. Because current Stealth planes use radar deflection rather than RAM and that is detectable. The Rafael is not even neat stealth just has a jammer but missiles can easily lock on to the jammer signal and bring the French obsolete tech down using ARM (anti radar missile) so no matter what ever India says they just bought what was best available and not what was needed. Further more a stealth plane can be detected by optical guided missile which are the new future of air to air and surface to air missiles and are a stealth killer.

Don't be stupid,a country has an aspirations to beat uncle Sam won't induct a fighter plane by mocking entire world. If Chinese are calling j20 as a gen 5 means,it will definitely will have some punch in it. After all it has to face f22 one day.
Don't tell me,tell those who believed in western tech so hard as if it is already becoming a belief.
