Wow. I thought Vizio was a Japanese brand.

Looks like China's brands are on the way to consolidate their presence in global markets through strategic acquisitions.

Dominant status at home enables them with enough cash flow.

I always believe that dominance starts at home. With steady resource flow at home, it is more feasible to go out and hunt for lucrative deals. China's government has been right in terms of protecting home turf. Otherwise, the country would have been a playground for foreign companies with little domestic content and innovation.

.
Many people, including some Chinese PDFer here think TCL is not a Chinese brand....
Guangdong Province: Gree, Midea,TCL, etc
Shandong Province:Haier, Hisense, etc
It seems that home appliances in China are dominated by two 1-trillion dollar economies......

.
In our sight, Haier bought Sanyo home appliance facility, but keep post ad that Japan technology, known as Aqua brand too
Midea manufactures low end items for Haier, Panasonic ... quality is quite good
Gree is aircon manufacturer but not famous, even lower value in brand than Vietnam domestic brands.
TCL is the nightmare of LCD TV, terrible quality, especially after 1 year of usage
Hisense is nobody

They are household behemoths right there. Midea products are excellent in quality and they challenge Japanese centennials.

In household electronics Japan is the benchmark. But China is the future.

One more reason to have trade surplus with Vietnam.

Vizio based in California. TVs made in China.

Vietnamese love Chinese products. That's why you see the trade plus. Everyone knows in economics, manufactured products sell at a higher margin than any products. Vietnamese agri products and raw materials are cheap so the trade surplus will continue to widen.

That Vietnamese comments make me laugh, especially said Green is even lower value in brand than Vietnam domestic brands, He even can't spell it rightly:-)

Just put him in the ignore list.
Not a single one from China's former province can make sensible comments in PDF.
Enlightenment was not enough back in history, China's mistake.
