I had some debate with a friend on this subject. Hopefully some chinese members on here help me out. What are some stats in term of income and social mobility of the chinese population in let said the last 15 years. And these government programs to end poverty. What are the government are actually doing and what are the results.

I heard some criticisms that said the government just lift people out from poverty into just low income (let said from 1.89 dollars to said 1.91 dollars), what they meant is that it isn't much. It just for show and propaganda. Then again, the youtube channel that present this argument is also a propagandist channel too :/ . But what is the truth?

And what is the next step for the chinese government? In term of dealing with income inequality, social and income mobility, and life quality index. I do see, that most people are happier than said 30, 20, 10, 5 years ago. So I supposed, the government done something right.

Such information aren't readily available in English.

However the CNNIC (China Internet Network Information Center) publishes statistics on internet users in English, and I think you can use that as a proxy for the Chinese population.
The internet penetration rate in China is 55.8% in 2017.

In the links above there are other statistics analyzing the factors preventing non-netizens from accessing the internet and the education structure of netizens etc, which can give you a rough gauge of the socioeconomic indicators in China.
