there is nothing much about the quality of the cement, moron. it is the earth that laid the foundation for the pavement get wasthed away by rain or something. if it happens in the collapse of building or bridges, then they are more likely be qualtiy of cement or structural related faults! usually there should be a steel reinforcement grid sandwiched between the earthy ground and the cement layer.

Hopefully that was no more than a shock for the girl. Some of the passersby / cabdriver haver done a terrific job calling for the rescue!

It wasn't the cement in the sidewalk, but a metal basement entrance. The flaps almost caved in, but I jumped and hopped over.
