Chinese film industry aims to challenge Hollywood

Yeehaa!!
Go ahead!

Any one in this world can challenge H'wood,Nigerian and Indian film Industry also did,let the Chinese also try their hand.

BTW seriously?you are going to challenge us? FIRST GROW UP INTO A POTENTIAL INTERNATIONAL FILM INDUSTRY!!

A dog can't kill a bull!

You can ask, in Japan, Korea, Vietnam, which is more attractive? Sometimes ignorance will cause problems, but not surprised, because you are American.

.
OHH pleasseee!!!
All that China knows is challenging??
China is in my view the most abrupt nation in the world,China overreacts,China over shows than what it has,China is pretentious..

Personally,I don't know the name of even one single Chinese movie or an actor!
Neither have i seen a Chinese movie winning recognizable awards.

China going to challenge Hollywood?
:lazy::lazy:

China should consider developing its people and other cities, than boasting off.

Hmmm... can't you see the article quoted is from a British paper?

. . . .
Come on guys I've already pointed out in my original post that title of the Guardian article is misleading, which isn't entirely surprising because editors rather than journalists chose article titles, often with unfortunate results. So no reason to dwell on that.

.
Hmm!!,Transition or slavery,i dont know, but a day before Pakistani culture and beauty was unpresidented!!

Chinese beauty, you mean small eyed skinny people?YUK!!!!!!!!!!!11
How the hell can you say that they are beautiful!?

P.S:Please don't start posting pics, lol, every nation has some beautiful creatures..;)

Oh yeah, may be some dark brown two tones wh@re should be the new standard of the so-called beautiful "Creatures"

I always got a kick out of a new American wisdom: "You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig." :partay:

But, where are they now? Why are those three off line now? Why do they come together all time? Why do they leave the forum together?

Why are they unnecessarily obsessed with China india relationship? Why do they always advocate india's progress? Why are they discourage Chinese members when they make befitting replies to indians?

These are the questions. I have been studying them since they joined the forum. I came back because of their drama... a monotonous China india friendship soap opera....

You do not need to worry too much for the network of speech, China and India certainly have their policy, we do ourselves, we want friendship and peace, goodwill, there is no harm. I know that some members of India have their plans, some small smart, but no long-term benefits. We are only at own thoughts, by own footsteps. In any case, I believe that there are Indians will respond to our goodwill. Our words no influence to substantive relations between the two countries. Not to think too much .

Each region has its own culture and own cinema.English is the most widely spoken language and thats one of the main reasons behind hollywoods success. No offence intended but i dont see any 1 challenging hollywood for a long long time to come.U have so many actors from around the world[chinese, indians, british etc.]whose claim to fame is through hollywood, but in how many cases is it vice versa.

Can some one recommend me a Chinese movie based on real accounts of WW2 on Chinese theater ?

Also realist one on Medieval China

Chinese film industry challenging Hollywood, this is some similar remarks our own film industry Bollywood also make

A lot of talks r also in India this days like how 1 of its movie Robot rival Hollywood in technology

But let me tell u people reality.. Hollywood is miles ahead of any of the other recognized film industries in the world

Their movies r not only example of brilliant art but also example of brilliant engineering

Their best part is that lot of research is also involved in their movies

Which other nations have produced movies like avatar,Titanic, terminator,Dark night,Lord of the rings and Jurassic park

in animation had anyone even come closer to their legendary Toy story and shrek franchises

One of the other thing how we flatter so much about their Oscars,on one hand both India, Chinese or any other film industry in the world claim about challenging Hollywood and on the other hand dreams most about getting awards to get international recognization, why would someone need the American Oscar's and golden globe's if our film is equivalent to them

Well on the other hand i love Chinese movies a lot, especially their Marshall art movies,Jackie chan is 1 of my favorite, not only mine,he is highly popular in India

i had heard a lot about the Chinese movie Red Cliff,i have heard it's the costliest Asian movie ever made, can anybody tell me about it more

China actually made surprisingly few WWII films in recent years, one can probably find more films on Chinese civil war than on WWII.

Lu Chuan's City of Life and Death is probably the best one recently. Also the Message as huzihaidao mentioned, but that film is a more of a fictionalized account.

As for medieval China, I don't think there are many films on that period either. Most Chinese period films are in either Ancient China, Classical China or the early modern period. The TV series Ming 1566 is excellent but is very long not to mention in Chinese only.
