ISLAMABAD: Chinese embassy sacrificed five sheep on Eid day (Wednesday) as a goodwill gesture to celebrate Eidul Azha with Muslim community of Pakistan. Deputy Chief Minister of China, Xilian Huawg sacrificed the sheep during a ceremony at the residence of Mohammad Raza Khan, former Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry president. Raza Khan said on the occasion that former Chinese ambassador to Pakistan, Liu Jian, took the initiative of celebrating Eidul Azha with Pakistan by donating three sheep, which was followed by the same practice this year. Khan said Pakistan and China were time-tested friends who always enjoyed strong bilateral relations and these kinds of goodwill gestures further strengthened ties between the two countries. staff report
