Chinese-built high-speed railway in Indonesia marks new breakthrough

. .
Damn you chinese as an indonesian who routinely past the road near this project, i can't help but to admire how fast this project progressing this is something that we need to learn from you guys.

Hope you guys can give us the knowledge how to build HSR :smitten:

Easy. Innovation and a hardworking workforce. Those machine are all invented by Chinese engineer specially tailor for HSR. You cannot find this in any other countries.

Also large number of domestic construction equipment companies in China which drive down construction cost and more productive speed. Behind this is a powerful industries supported by massive investment in education and infrastructures.

India Modi said that 2022 India has high-speed rail, I think there is no hope in 2025. As far as India's speed is concerned, I don't think it is good to say it in 2028.

Tunnel 3 of Indonesia's Jakarta-Bandung high speed railway drilled through

Xinhua, April 26, 2020

JAKARTA, April 26 (Xinhua) -- The Tunnel 3 of the Jakarta-Bandung high speed railway (JBHSR) project was drilled through on Sunday, which is the third drilled-through tunnel after the Walini Tunnel and Tunnel 5.

Tunnel 3 project has been undertaken by Power Construction Corporation of China JBHSR Project Team since April 13 last year, with 735 meters in total length, 5.8 meters minimal and 60.5 meters maximal embedded depth.

In the construction process, the project team resolved the collapse problem resulting from unfavorable geologic conditions and tropical rainforest climate, and they also trained local technicians who will play important roles in the future working.

Jakarta-Bandung HSR has a total length of 142.3 km with 13 tunnels, and a designed speed of 350 km/h. When it is put into running, the commute time from Jakarta to Bandung will be decreased from over three hours to 40 minutes.
