Despite the Turkish lira woes at the moment, China show its support and confidence in Turkey by putting another $2b into it. It is not surprising given many other major Chinese investment have already been placed in Turkey and no one can afford to let the money go down the drain. Again it shows China sees economic development as the top priority and regard Turkey as workable partners.

Check your numbers straight, China's per capita GDP this year will be around 10000 dollars similar to Turkey, but the point is per capita GDP doesn't mean the country has no money problem. Turkey is just a place with the size of a average Chinese province, China has many provinces with per capita GDP higher than Turkey and over 30 provinces together make China an economic powerful country, foreign reserve wise even a Chinese city Hong Kong is many many times bigger in foreign reserves than Turkey. China's foreign reserve is around one third of the world total. Greece in GDP capita is high than Turkey but that didn't stop the country going bankrupt.

China has at least 9 provinces with GDP per capita over 10000 US dollars.
