how about for chinese.. it is next generation(just new name n paint), coz there is some European/US/Russian plane to be compared with. But for India it is next gen coz the Specs are upgraded with time if required.

That's right, the J-20 is "new generation" in European standards while the Russian and European planes are already "new generation" in Indian standards.

Relax, we only call it "new generation" because it is actually new generation, unlike our southern neighbors whose fighters are only "new generation" because its development time will extend into the next generation.

a machine with 5g avionics,5g radar,5g jammers,5g maneuverable,5g weapons is better than a hollow one which is shapy only out side . And what is the point of we not having contribution in PAKFA? At the end PAKFA technology will be with us , we will be mass producing them and thats better than building mock up plane .

The T-50 at this moment does not have any of its internal technologies yet; no 5th generation engine, no radar, no weapons, etc. The J-20 prototype has radar absorbent material while the T-50 still doesn't.

BTW, a mockup doesn't fly. The J-20 flies.

You are still importing engines for your jet fighters from Russia and you are talking like Russia don't even have a knowledge
about engines...china just copied few Russian jet technology...you making me laugh every time with your post, do you think matured Russian engineers can't even think like an normal chinese civilian

engines are the part that requires alot of experience. the rest can be figured out with less experience but more brute force computation or doing experiments over and over again. in metallurgy, sometimes you don't even know which experiments to do to improve the quality of your item, its like blind guessing.

But Russia has capability to produce an engine that can make PAKFA super cruise . Russians have good experience with TVC . Russia had made a better AESA radar . Russia has no 5th gen weapons ? Many programs are running parallely with PAKFA program . Russia has good EW systems and Avionics better than China . You think RAM and composites are big deal? For your kind information Russia had already developed a testing model called Su47 to demonstrate technologies . Now Chinese J20 can be compared to Su47 , i can bet J20 would still be inferior to Su47 if the program was not cancelled . The only gain of J20 would have been RCS here .

but we can get good no. of PAKFA squads .
