On January 8, China Ministry of Public Security reported on the special actions of the national campaign against rectification of gunshots and crimes since 2018.
According to Li Jingsheng, director of the Public Security Administration of the Ministry of Public Security, from January to November 2018, there were 42 cases of gun crimes and 39 cases of explosions in the country, down 27.6% and 29% year-on-year. The number of gun crimes has been continuously reduced for many years. In good times, China has become one of the countries with the fewest crimes in the world.

Mainland China takes care only Hongkong's National defense and diplomatical issues and anythings related to one country two systems(such as Hongkong independence not possible in 10000 years) no more else!
I am sure Hongkong juridical system can handle them well.
