China's Luxury Clothing Brands

Li Ning is a big competitor of Nike and is a recognized company. Also, the logo looks far more like a backwards Qantas, not a check.

Do Indian women really wear pants, shirts and coats? In all the pictures of India that I see, most of the men wear robes and the women wear saris.

those are older women...old generation..current women prefer jeans and tops or fancy punjabi dress..

My chinese friend says he wouldnt buy any shoes made in China. Ever!

The last time his mom bought a branded shoe in China, it gave serious burns on her feet. Some sort of a chemical reaction.

Never heard of your brands. Indian brands aren't associated with luxury.

I have real trouble even googling for Spunk clothing and Vivaldi clothing.

John Player's clothing is cheap. Only RS 447. 10 dollar shirts don't cut it as a "brand".

That is because spunk actually means ji*zz and vivaldi is the name of great composer.
If being expensive is the only requirement to be luxury brand, so be it. Although the quality of John Players would equal, if not surpass any other luxury brand out there.

It is a pity that luxury brands are only for the elites in China while a poor man like me wears the exact same quality clothing on a daily basis in India. Shows how much China has progressed. Attaboy Chinese Fanboys!

My Li Nings have been working as well for me, as they have for NBA stars like Shaq and Baron Davis. Maybe your "Chinese" friend just wasn't worthy of wearing NBA level shoes.

I donno brah. Looks pretty similar to Nike's logo to me.

The company has long been criticized for its old logo, which borrowed heavily from Nike. Its former slogan, “Everything is Possible,” was also seen as a copy of the Adidas slogan “Nothing is Impossible.”

361°?????

361 athletic shoes and clothes.

The slogan was originally in Chinese, and was 一切皆有可能, which is far different from Nike's slogan in Chinese, which is the English JUST DO IT

Similar to Adidas's slogan not Nike's.

Copied logo from Nike and slogan for Adidas. Good game plan I say :enjoy:

Li Ning's worth a few billion so if Nike and Adidas felt strongly about it they could sue Li Ning, and if successful, get a few hundred million out of him... wonder why they didn't (because they know they'll fail).

Well it isn't similar enough to be sued.

Don't get me wrong, am sure they make good shoes, and interwebs tells me they are doing quite well in China as a company(and thats good enough to be a successful company). But i never quite understood the logic behind Chinese companies copying logos.
It just reflects badly on the products and adds to the stereotype of "cheap chinese knock off", even if thats not the case.

They could have come up with any different logo and any different slogan, but no it had to be similar to nike and adidas.
