China's FC-31 Stealth Fighter to Fly by 2019

To clear up the confusion:

1. The improved variant of the FC-31 is expected to fly in 2016.

2. The FC-31 will go into production in 2019 (i.e. the first LRIP aircraft will fly in 2019), provided that a customer has ordered it and is willing to finance part of the development/testing phase.

3. Induction, as expected, will take a few more years, with IOC being slated for 2022-2023. Again, this is assuming that a customer has indeed purchased the aircraft.
Any idea about Engine and Radar of Final Production air crafts?

Yes they are (sadly)!! Stolen designs and tech from the JSF. They have 2 prototypes ready and 2 being created for testing. You can see resemblance with the American platforms. The thing went up from final 15 in about 10 seconds, which I think is pretty good for a copy.......but their engine still blows smoke like an old car with a blown gasket :enjoy:

1) FC-1 in Pakistan won't replace the F-16's. The F-16's are there to stay beyond 2030.

2) The JFT block IV will be a potential addition which might form the top tier of the PAF, putting -16's as a complimentary second tier due to home built and advanced enough, eventually replacing the - 16's!! Plus if the PAF acquired any twin engined jets, those will also supplement too.

3) FC-1 will form Pakistan's top stealth tier (5th Gen) and would also serve as the master design for the JFT block IV and V (smaller, one engine stealth optimized planes).

4) China will induct the FC-1 in large numbers, specially in their Naval air fleet, and on AC's.

Bad thing is JSF. Was. stolen. and. aspionage. from. Fc31. From computer network of. Chinese company

Pakistan will not buy this aircraft unless China also inducts the aircraft for their own military.

This is a lesson that Pakistan has learnt as a result of the JF-17 Thunder program

Whatever, buy or just leave. China should pay more attention to Iran&GCC market.

Recent images (December 2013) suggested that FC-31 is testing a new silver color "stealth" nozzle similar to those onboard J-20. The second prototype which could feature "major" improvements in order to make it more attractive to domestic/foreign customers has been under development. Those improvements include a one-piece canopy, domestic WS-13E turbofan engines with new stealth nozzles, an EOTS (EOTS-86?) under the nose, retractable IFR probe on the starboard side, a slightly longer and fatter fuselage, reshaped F-35 style vertical tailfins and cropped wing tips and tailfin tips similar to those of F-22. A static test airframe was built at SAC. The actual prototype was expected to fly by the end of 2016. If ordered now by a foreign customer, FC-31 could enter the production as early as 2019 and achieve IOC in 2022. It was rumored that the 01 prototype powered by two upgraded WS-13E turbofan engines flew for the first time on July 1, 2016. The latest AVIC promotional video at 2016 Zhuhai Airshow indicated the 02 prototype has been built and is preparing for the maiden flight.

bro plz dont use suparco name and make fun of it or plz use some sensible statements...sryy no offense intended
but china has no requiremtn of j31 currently...j31 is still someyears away...and yes if u closely look atthe best option available to paf before making its own 5th gen is j31 to counter rafale and all others....eft and su35 dont stand well against rafale...whereas su35 of china will most probably be situated in gwadaras gwadar port is on leasewith china so its china sole responsibilty
