Type 001A: An improvement of the aircraft carrier Liaoning (ex-Varyag), with the displacement increasing by 15% and the island structure being slightly reduced in size.

Type 002: A 78000 tonnes conventional supercarrier with the steam catapults.

Type 003: A 100000+ tonnes nuclear supercarrier with the EMALS.

One point.........will China be building any helicopter carriers to supplement its amphibious forces in the near future.......we have all seen images and heard rumours..........but alas so far no concrete proof!

Anyway,......personally i'am looking forward to seeing the 055 Cruiser/Destroyer..........as that is what i call a proper beast of a warship!

One point.........will China be building any helicopter carriers to supplement its amphibious forces in the near future.......we have all seen images and heard rumours..........but alas so far no concrete proof!

i believe its going to be called the type 81

it will be similar in size to the america class ship about 40000+ tonne as shown below

The LHD will be named as the Type 075, and it thinks it will start the construction in 2016-2017.

I think so, and the construction will be started in 1-2 years.
