China's 600 kph maglev train conducts successful test run

. . .
The meters won't lie, we have modern equipments to measure the speed.
one, in order to reach such high speed you need a long and straight rail to accelerate. the experiential rail is too short in my opinion. two, the shape matters. I see the train does not have bullet format. the train will take off like a plane by this speed. three, ok maybe it can reach the top speed for seconds but not minutes. France TGV can reach 600kph on rail track for minutes. however that is a different story.

On a train you can walk around and the train drops you off in the middle of the city and with access to public transit. A plane (typically, not in NYC or SF though) drops you off in the middle of nowhere or the ghetto and you have to drive to wherever you're going. While you're on the plane there is huge noise, vibration and you can't move freely.

From a resource point of view air travel will never be as efficient with fuel as trains because the train doesn't need to generate lift.

I've just seen a regular plane sevice betweem manilla and Dubai at a price of $135, that's about 4,000 mile. I think 'high speed train' might be a failed concept. Prices in Europe are collapsing, one air line is even working on the concept of 'free' air ticket; the airline making money on 'extras' like food and special seating. This might be the future of mass long distance transit, with a short metro link from the airport to the city centre.

That is one capsule testing the propulsion. It is not a 600km/hr test run. The front carriage will be totally different. What a dumb statement doesnt look like 600km/hr. No understanding of anything it seems.

France Japan or China will be first to put 600km/hr train into service. We will see who does it.

Modern science and technology develops, not being stagnant. 600 kilometers or not is easy to find out by both Chinese and foreign scientists, there is no need to lie.

Certainly the train can reach 600kph.
technology came from Germany.
I think the track run Shinkansen is good enough if we get the technology from Japan. Magnev is prohibitive expensive.

Originally the technology was from Germany and Japan , but now Chinese scientists can do it better than those two, technologies develops, so do the countries develping and improving them.

Maglev has no future.

That's because demand collapsed during coronavirus pandemic. You must really hate China if you want China to be more energy dependent on oil from US and US dominated middle eastern monarchies.

No on both counts. Prices have been falling since well before the epidemic.

. .
Yep. In Europe they have fallen drastically even without high speed rail.
