China wins 1st women's Volleyball World Cup in 12 years

NAGOYA, Japan -- China overpowered host Japan 3-1 and won its fourth women's volleyball World Cup title on Sunday.

The Chinese team led by guru coach Jenny Lang Ping crushed a tenacious Japanese side 25-17, 22-25, 25-21, 25-22 to claim its first World Cup crown since 2003 and its first major title since 2004 when Lang's team won the Olympic title in Athens.

As a player, "Iron Hammer" Lang Ping led the Chinese to the 1981 and 1985 World Cup titles.

We have a legend as Head Coach - Ms Lang Ping (picture) who has won all the major honours multiple times in women's volley ball in he world including the Champions of the World Cup 2 times in a roll as a player in 1981 and 1985 and now as a Coach for Team China 2015

I have thought about the young girls but in consideration of the massive coaching input from Lang Ping, I gave her much credit for our success, so " ladies" for an outstanding collective effort !

Hui Ruoqi suffers from a heart problem. She may need a micro-surgery. So best of luck to her and players who are injured. Get well soon!
