China welcomes possible peace agreement with Taiwan

A Chinese mainland official said Wednesday that a peace agreement is the common aspiration of the compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait and the inevitable future of the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations.

Ending hostility across the Taiwan Strait and reaching a peace agreement is in line with the interests of the Chinese nation and is the common aspirations of the compatriots on both sides of the Strait, said Yang Yi, spokesman for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office.

Yang's statement follows remarks earlier in October by Taiwan leader Ma Ying-jeou, who raised the issue of a possible peace agreement and mentioned three premises for Taiwan authorities to seriously consider it.

Yang said reaching a peace agreement has been a proposition of the mainland over the years and it will be an inevitable future of the peaceful development of the cross-Strait relations.

Yang said he hopes the mainland and Taiwan can strengthen communication and mutual trust to create conditions for a possible peace agreement.

Yang said the will of compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait should be taken into consideration and the stable development of cross-Strait relations should be safeguarded.

There is no need to start necessary bloodshed, time is on our side. If China wants to take Taiwan and Washington interferes the conflict will not be limited to Taiwan only, American presence in Korea and Japan will be under even more severe strained, American have long term goals in Asia that is to seek to use themselves as sort of guarantor of peace in Asia but in the end they will probably be the main culprit of war, they are pushing for more antagonism from countries like Japan Korea Vietnam and the Philippines against China, while in the backdoor, working with China to improve understanding through economic and military backdoor coordination. They are just playing these countries like little pawns to maintain their future economic interest and an excuse for their military presence and selling of military hardware, in the end if these Asian countries don't watch out they can be disposed like Muamar Gaddafi like trash by America, easy, China will never be afraid to protect their own interest against America because they can, but if countries think they can use America to break past treaties and further their own ambitions and threatened China, then they are badly miscalculating about the situation.

Sorry but the real Manchuria is already occupied by Russia, Japan can try to liberate them if they want, they are far more militarily advance then Vietnam but they will not exist within the hour if they tried, even with American help which will be no help, just a factual statement.

Southern Vietnam was an American ally and staunch anti-communists. You northern Viets could not stand this and started training some VietCong militia, eventually even sending in NPA. Vast majority in Taiwan (>90%) are of Han ethnicity, and vast majority of Manchuria (also over 90%) are Han.

Don't worry, we'll divide you up soon enough. Little Viets have always been our punching bag for the past thousand years. In fact, last time we decided to use you for naval gunfire drill, a whole boatload of your sailors fed themselves to fish.
