BEIJING - China has asked India to avoid making South Asia a battle field, since it might be counter-productive for New Delhi.
Recently, Sri Lanka declared a 10-day state of emergency following clashes between majority Buddhists and members of the minority Muslim community in Kandy in the central part of the country. Many observers believe that it might be India that incited the riots through social media.
The riots indeed triggered concern in India with mainstream media outlets continuously running updates about the unrest. However, no extraordinary concern was found in the reports, which concentrated more on the India-Sri Lanka cricket match.
Some Indian reports quoted the spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. However, they did not hype up the China factor. On the whole, India reacted rationally and prudently.
The Indian response is not surprising. First, few international factors are involved in the Sri Lankan unrest as it is a result of the nation’s deep-rooted ethnic and religious divide. In fact, India , like China , does not want riots in Sri Lanka.
Not only does India want to protect its investment, industries and other interests in Sri Lanka, it is also worried that turmoil in neighboring countries will enable nations outside the region to intervene in South Asia.
Second, with a pro-India government in Colombo, there is no reason for New Delhi to try to change Sri Lanka’s current regime.
There is no denying that China has become increasingly popular among small and medium countries in South Asia since the Belt and Road initiative was launched. However, China’s popularity is based on the common development vision between Beijing and South Asian countries.
The rivalry between China and India in South Asia is not a “zero-sum game.” China’s development in South Asia will not impede, but instead facilitate India’s friendly relations with other regional countries.

FATF included us in grey list from 2012 to 2015, What's happened with us???In the case Google may list/show anything that you wish about India, after all it's all about SEO and we have a Bollywood movie "Namak Haram" if you could search the term "Namak Halal" that would also show India in google, because we have another movie with that name, what an Irony, huh ???? , but does that mean anything in this world ?????
But it is the UN and reputed organizations like FATF who says about another nation that really does matter. Keep your fingers crossed and wait till June. I guess, this is more than enough for you to take for today, right dude ???
What do attacks in India have to do with Pakistan???what do riots in Sri Lanka have to do with India ?
HAHAHA........... oh silly man,Arms struggle against India will never resolve the situation... Because India has more than enough power and resources to crush these silly attacks... But these attacks will judge the public sentiments in India...Political parties moves according to public sentiments only... Now what is the public sentiments in India??? These terrorist attacks in specific intervals make public sentiments against Pakistan... We generally thinks Pakistan orchestrates these attacks...
The solution is the following... Pakistan must stop all types of provocation first... if Pakistans help was not there ,these extreamism will die soon...Then must start dialogues between India and Pakistan... If Kashmiris have "will power" to become an independent state, they will continue their struggle for that in a peaceful manner... If 10-15 years goes like that, public sentiments will change in India... That may lead to a plebiscite or free Kashmir...
Kashmiris are only 7 million... Rest of India is 1250 million...
What do attacks in India have to do with Pakistan???
.
Your this approach is a perfect example " why problem is not resolving"??? We people blame Pak... You people blame us... It will continue...What do attacks in India have to do with Pakistan??
HAHAHA........... oh silly man,
In one point Indian says, What do India if riots happened in Sri Lanka,
But suddenly Indian change their tongue and saying that Pakistan is behind whatsoever happening in India.
First Indians should have decided that which propagation is best for India than asking us.

Because Chinese are not stupid and emotionally activated like some of our neighbors. And a war will only be bad for all the countries in the region not limited to India or China. It was a stand off wasn't it? Nobody lost, nobody won. China could have struck hard but I do not understand why China didn't. Perhaps China was secretly warned by india's closest ally, uncle sam.
The key to peace in the region is to tackle the roots of the tension, which is the dispute over Kashmir.
what's your views about "The Wire"???
Oho, Than be ready to take dead bodies of your polio infected army from Occupied KashmirWe are not interested not solving any disputes.
You are just repeating my questions, but not answering those questionsWhat do attack in Sri Lanka have to do with India???

looks like we both are asking questions without answers. You are just repeating my questions, but not answering those questions
or maybe Chinese think Indians don't worth fighting
You are absolutely right sir, i have to appreciate your knowledge about SA affairsMother of terrorism in South Asia is undoubtedly India !!
If that is the case india has an advantage over China. This is how the mighty Japanese navy lost the war to the US during WW-II. Underestimating your adversary is not a virtue, it's a fatal vice. Pakistan also has this syndrome.
