Chinese President Xi Jinping has met visiting Turkmenistan President, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
Xi Jinping hailed both countries’ joint efforts in countering terrorism, extremism and separatism, and efforts in maintaining regional peace and stability. He called for further cooperation in natural gas, and called for the early construction of the pipeline linking the two countries.
The Turkmenistan President encourages exchanges in culture, sport, education and among the youth. He said his country is willing to join hands with China in promoting international energy safety.
The two leaders also witnessed the signing of agreements on natural gas, agriculture, transportation, finance and culture. The two leaders also met the press, during which President Xi Jinping called for further efforts to enhance strategic partnership.
