China treats Uighur kids as ‘orphans’ after parents seized

Yes, I went 15 years ago. I have also been to Tibet, 2 years ago. Tibet is also oppressed. Soldiers everywhere, Chinese flags hanging everywhere to demonstrate control. It's not like the US, where individual citizens fly the flag out of pride. In Tibet, the Chinese government hangs 20 flags on each building. It is obnoxious. But of course, perhaps to people from China where obnoxious behavior is the norm, it's normal.
Probably, just like Americans believe mass shooting is a way of life.

This is a street in Lhasa. You think that all of these Chinese flags are hung by the Tibetans out of free will and pride that they belong to China? LOL

Well, if that is the case, then it's obviously not true. Like I said before, the Western media is full of shit most of the time.
Finally we've got something that we both agree on, go to first page of this thread and check them out.

Well, Americans are willing to tolerate some mass shootings to keep their gun rights. I have guns too, btw.

Just like Chinese people normalize obnoxious, rude behavior as the norm. These are just the realities in each country.

This is a celebration of National Day

No, that is every day. I went to Tibet in early September two years ago. There were flags on every corner. It is very annoying.

I saw a town in US which almost every household has an US flag somewhere, you see more US national flags in US than you see Chinese flags in China.

I don't care, that the difference you and me just talked about, so it's normal.

Americans fly the flag on their own free will. Not like the Chinese flags hanging in Lhasa every ten feet.

You don't see that in any Han Chinese city. You don't see Chinese flags every ten feet in Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, etc. But in Lhasa, you have five Chinese flags on every building. This is very obnoxious, annoying behavior to assert control over the locals. It's not the locals flying them on their own free will.

OK, You can claim that, US flags are ok in US, Chinese flags not Ok in China, whatever claims make you happy.

That is not what I am claiming. Can you use logic? Ask yourself why there are 100x more Chinese flags in Lhasa than in Shanghai? You think Tibetans are more patriotic than Shanghainese? LOL

Actually I don't really care how many US flags you fly in US, it's none of my business, if Chinese flags you see make you angry in China, there's nothing I can help, bear it or leave. It's your free choice.

.

Those might be older photos. When I went there two years ago, flags were everywhere, not to mention, soldiers with machine guns.

Also, I noticed that many of the Tibetans who worked in hotels or restaurants didnt like Han Chinese much, they seemed resentful. Of course, many of the Han Chinese tourists were oblivious to it, like they are oblivious to everything else, and every other culture.

It only makes me angry when it is clear that the government is forcefully using them as a means of asserting control. That, combined with the fact that Tibetans have no right to dissent or freedom of speech.

Shut your mouth.
You are a rumor maker.
