China to hold grand Belt and Road Forum meet next week: Will India skip biggest diplomatic event of

That part we are dealing well. You can set up industries in India and export finished goods to China:enjoy:, as part of Make in India. Just like what Oppo is doing now.
They set up factory in India, hire Indian workers and pay tax. I think it's no bad. Create more jobs in India and provide products to Indians. The money earned will be invested in any other sector of India economy.

There are business opertunity even now. Which both countries are exploiting. Trade can happen even if india does not go with OBOR.

OBOR is primarily for China's benefit now. India has no problem in that.

We may grow slow, but we will grow.
Still India is welcomed to join OBOR. Why not? Who will refuse a economy of 7.7 % growth annually. You earn respect by yourslef, that's it.

Even China and USA are fighting fiercely under the table, they still send delegation to China. Business is business, no one will hate money.

True infact even when we had border dispute, we conducted trade. Everyone loves money.

Pls consider our position in kashmir.

I think it's similar to SK. China hates US presence even in SK. Same for us. We hate chinese soldiers in our disputed land.

.
Sooner or late India will have to join, or it will be isolated. You will loose influence when the others are actively participating.

Thanks but no thanks

Kashmir is more important than trade with China even if it is in trillions of dollars. We will pass the opportunity.

You signed an FTA isn't it? :tup:Which was a remarkable move. (Pun intended)
Does FTA has any relation with toll taxes?

How much toll can you collect? let's just assume 1000 trucks pass in a day. You collect $100 per truck (hypothetically). You get a hundred thousand. In other words it cost a hundred thousand to ship something to China via Pakistan. If you reduce the toll then your earnings will be affected. Is t
Chinese are the investors. You should ask them if it is economic feasible for them or not.
Btw CPEC is the shortest and safest route for future oil and goods transportation from M.E to China.

How long will it take to get the promised return? Power problem in Pakistan is not due to lack of power generating plants rather it's the problem with distribution side. You have a power surplus even now. There is no words about investment in distribution system, only in power generating projects.
LOL! What are you blabbering about? According to an estimate, in 2016, 34%-37% electric power used domestically was generated by generators and UPS owned by public.

What if you went default? Any idea, I guess you will go the Sri Lanka way.
None of your concern. You should be happy we are going wrong way. Shouldnt you?

Yeah, it is. But we really don't need to join the umbrella of OBOR right?
India haven't completely shut door on OBOR. We have sovereignty issue over the flagship project of OBOR. And if we attend such a summit, we will be making a politically suicide move, both domestically and Internationally.
Let's say hypothetically, a multilateral project that passes through South China sea, let's say your economic rival US is pushing it through with Japan, South Korea and many countries in the vicinity. Then US asks China to Join the project as it benefits them too. Would you happily accept the invitation or pull red flag on it.

Now the same applies to India too. But you guys don't understand it unless something similar blow up on your face.

OBOR may get you new business opportunity in China to recover some of those defic

If competing with Chinese industry in China was that easy, we would not have issued anti dumping duties on steel for 5 Years today. And this also means we will not join any kind of free trade agreement too.

And your infrastructure set up in South Tibet. I think we don't bring these up when we invite you to attend OBOR submit.

OBOR means more direct investment in India from China, more jobs and more income. Still 33% points need job to raise their family. IN this OBOR submit, there are lot of Chinese company want to know India market and chance of investment. And you miss that opportunity, do you think it's responsible for those poors In India?
