China to become high-income country by next year, the second country after S.Korea moved from low to high-income since the second world war

I do not deny that these Caribbean island countries were low-income countries in 1945. I'm just telling you that these island countries are not high-income countries in 2021.

Please tell me, which Caribbean island country has a per capita GDP higher than US $12696?

Carribean are tax haven. A lot are nominally high GDP.

South Korea is moden slavery. Chaebo controls 90% of economy. People are brainwashed and sex cult are promoted to keep people content. In terms of material well being, Beijing and Shanghai is far far far better than Seoul.

South Korean have a higher salary but everything is expensive. Eventually South Korean enjoys nothing but works long hours.

Korean Chaebo companies sucks big time. Korean engineers have siege mentality and they do not share knowledge.
Salaries in Seoul and first tier Chinese cities are actually pretty comparable

No other low or middle income nation had ever consumed more steel, cars and cement than the world's #1 high income country.

Or had more space launches than the world #1 high income country.

Or had a quantum satellite communication system before the world's #1 income country.

And because China is still developing, it will grow a lot more and a lot faster than any of the developed nations for decades to come.

The China is already matching the rich guys when she is still poor. She will blow pass them when she is rich.

Think about this -- China already makes and uses half the world's steel today when it is not entirely industrialized like the US or Japan. It already uses 10 TIMES the steel that US uses and the US is supposedly much wealthier. And the US itself uses far more steel than anyone else -- except China.

When China starts reaching the per capita income of Shanghai or Shenzhen $31K across the board, it might start using up 75-90% of global steel (maybe to build spacecraft to colonize the moon. lol)
China is fully industrialized. It’s living standards are just not there yet with the west, at least the average living standards.

The OP is talking about World Bank defined high income countries.

So please look here at the column with World Bank numbers:

UK GDP per capita is higher, much higher, but real purchasing power is much lower.
British consume 1/3 of vegetables and fruits than average Chinese per capita.

I do think it's a bit embarrassing. The vegetables and fruits are too expensive that British can't eat as much as they want.

Come to China, even the poorest can buy as many vegetables and fruits as they want.

That’s more a function of culture and eating habits than spending power

Puerto Rico is the territory of the United States and Aruba is the territory of the Netherlands. Bahamas, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Antigua and Barbuda. These countries were already high-income countries when they became independent. For example, the per capita GDP of the Bahamas in 1960 was US $1550, significantly exceeding the 1960 high-income national standard.

Why is 1960 suddenly the new threshold? You are intentionally moving the goalposts ahead by 15 years (and far into the age of when commercial aviation became common making it more likely these Islands would be able to move up to high income).

The OP specifically mentions ~1945. If they meant 1960 they would have specifically said that instead.

"moved from low to high-income since the second world war"

Most of these countries are independent in the 1980s, and even in 2021. Can you find their GDP data for 1945? I can only find the data of several countries such as the Bahamas in 1960.
In 1960, the per capita GDP was US $1550, but it could not be lower than US $148 in 1945. Can GDP increase by 1047% in 15 years?

Bahamas, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Antigua and Barbuda. Please tell me which of the five countries had a per capita GDP of less than $148 in 1945?

I guess we should thank the white man for keeping most of South and Latin America middle income instead of low. I guess PDF should be giving us more credit...

I guess I should change my viewpoint on how lucky they are.. I always thought most of it was a poverty pit...especially in the 19th Century. I guess I never knew what a pit really was and should replace my picture with China.
This kind of shitty logic is what we expect from a serpentza fanboy, how do you think white men madeSouth & Latin America middle income? magic? no
by enslaving the natives and using them as slave labour for enrichment of the criminal settlers. The natives' labour.

I have a bigger GDP per capita than most countries of the world. How embarrassing for them.

How can we enslave the native Americans in South and Central America when the Chinese narrative here on PDF is that they were all wiped out by the evil white man back between the years 1492 and 1800.

I was commenting on the shitty logic by the Chinese members here who somehow think most of South and Central America was not low income in for instance the 19th century.

Apparently my understanding of what low income is when picturing the life of average people (not the 1%) in most of South and Central American back then was not considered low enough according to Chinese members.
