Now the trolling viets army is paradeing in this thread.

Since ALL of you are conscript rejects, I do not expect you to understand the significance of the BDU over the dress uniform.

A case of a military reject who instead of being promoted and keeping your job, is now working outside of the military calling others conscript rejects. Boy we are so proud of you. Give yourself a pat on the back :azn:

Yes the answer would be the same, America is good at fail parades

The Parade was kind of pointless apart from the anniversary celebrations apart from showing organizational strength and discipline and the ability to organize big events, but more than that serves up a good propaganda event for the masses. But it was overly excessive and flashy, much like the world expo and everything China done since the Olympics, it might be flashy and a chance to show off, but it is ultimately quite meaningless, apart from stocking the ego of certain people congratulating themselves on a job well done, it doesn't serve any other practical purpose.

Discipline, national pride, morale and of course shows we have cash to do so.
No cash = no flash & no dash. So being grandeur is out of the question, therefore acting like a sour grape is the only reaction :azn:

anyway it was a good parade and a good exercise to instill discipline in the soldiers.training of discipline sometimes can be more important than shooting.China trained a lot of Olympic gold medalists, the best merit those athletes have is discipline.

Somethings are better done in a modest yet significant way so as not to to show drunkenness on success and cockiness, because it's meaningless. Yes the symbolism of it is important, but the insanity and fan fare and the amount of cash spend on the parade + the world expo borders on drunkenness and it doesn't win any respect from anyone, it 's almost a display childishness instead of growing up, there's more ways than one to promote cultural strength that does not involve excessive and pointless displays meant to show off your success. It doesn't reflect military strength at all, but it does provide entertainment and instill an archaic sense of patriotism to the masses. This sort of parades should be about being proud of your nation sacrifices in the past, and it's historical significance, not about thumbing your nose up and saying "look at how big and strong and rich we have become" it's concept and the message it carries has totally lost it's way admit all the obsession with projecting an image modernization, it not only get the leadership drunk, it get the people drunk as well.

more sour grapes, i m sure if you are a billionair you want to live in a million dollars house and drive a ferrari right? or you still prefer living in your council flat and drive a ford escort instead?

Remind me , what practical purposes do parades serve apart from boosting the morale of troops and the nation ? :azn:

Cant people even praise a great performance ?

Jat sahib you along with the likes of Ashok bhai are sensible posters. For goodness sake some guys take personal attacking to another level. There is no need for hatred on a thread like this shown by the likes of Shabz Nist? Completely unnecessary and unwarranted. I tend to lose it when i see some posts but just because Ashok is a peaceful guy doesn't warrant attacks like this.

Ashok - now i know your address - i may be coming round for cup of tea and some barfeeeee!!! Keep smiling brother and ignore the idiots.!!
