China: The coming crisis

I clearly pointed put China is in crisis

why does this trigger fanboys ?
China knows that it is facing difficulties and there are solutions. I hope you care about your country, too. Or think about what country you are from.

The US has already had a shake out of speculation and high debt with no doc loans in their real estate market and less of their wealth is tied to housing. It's quite a different situation in China as investors in real estate also keep the houses vacant and they don't earn an income. They aren't rented out.

the chinese usually don't take out massive loans for their houses though. china has a savings rate of some 40% and about half of chinese home owners receive help from family to buy a house. a decline in housing prices, unlike a stock bust or company bankruptcy, doesn't mean your investment is gone, as the house/land is still there and still yours, if you live in it, you will continue to live in it. if it's your 3rd home, then you are already rich and its doesnt matter a whole lot. for the rest on a mortgage, the key is to take out a mortgage you can actually afford, this was the real problem in the us, they gave out massive loans to everyone and anyone who wanted it. There is no evidence the chinese banks are doing this. in fact china is quite notorious for liking to loan to big companies rather than people.
in addition the government is already taking action, not because of some mortgage crisis but rather they want the homes to be sold to first time buyers rather than people owning 3 or 4 homes. Many cities have all kinds of taxes and requirements for buying a 2nd, or 3rd home.

A crisis like in the us during 2008 simply can't happen in china. the cheap, massive loans that people can't actually pay aren't there. The chinese government has much more control over its banks. and even companies like evergrande aren't an large issue, they have more assets than debt a bankruptcy just means their assets get taken over.

if there is an issue in the chinese housing market, its that people are getting richer, and there aren't as many investment option in china compared to developed nations like us and EU as such there are only a limited number of places people can park their money and houses are the top choice.

If someone really had a crystal ball, he would only use it on his own future.

Nearly as strange as you, a loyal Kiwi who cares more about a country you don't want to live in.
Notice how the Chinese bootlickers don’t actually live in China
Funny thing about these folks is they see no irony in enjoying the comforts of democratic nations allied with their great enemy USA while engaging in circle jerk rituals for their CCP overlords whom they escaped.

I guess benefits of democratic NZ triumph nationalist self-esteem in their subconscious

or maybe we give their collective intellect too much credit to realize the obvious cognitive dissonance

I really don't get it, if China is such a great nation why aren't all these armchair Chinese nationalists moving back there?

@beijingwalker @kankan326 @Beidou2020 @Char @xuxu1457

Apparently there are 0 Chinese in China on this forum lmao.

Now the question is, why are there so few Indians here still living in shining superpower India?

How come 75% of H-1B visas in the US are Indian?

US has threatened your homeland multiple times, put your Prime Minister on a no fly list, sold Pakistan F-16s, even designated Pakistan a major non NATO ally, yet your kind still freeze crossing the Canadian border to get there, even though Canada is already a developed country. It goes far beyond economics at that point doesn't it?

You are responding to someone who flies New Zealand flags. Just in case you didn't notice.

Seems like patero has struck a nerve here

A Chinese more likely to leave their nation than an Afghan despite all the love from CCP

Chinese net migration rate for 2021 is 4 times that of Afghanistan

Even worse without any sense of self-worth hyper nationalist Chinese folks emigrate to countries they have faced issues historically

I would rather not to respond to someone who I believe to an outright liar.

This is for the neutral audience.

Humiliating someone to the point where they are either speechless or forced to render themselves shameless is a moral victory.

A moral victory is necessary such that the enemy is not merely physically defeated but morally understands that they were wrong to oppose you in the first place. Merely defeating or destroying them physically isn't enough, it only breeds resentment.

For example the Soviets were unable to morally defeat the Baltics despite physically dominating them for 50 years. In the end it only caused them to be even more anti Russian.

Meanwhile US colonized Philippines for a shorter time, gave Filipinos even less rights than Russians did the Baltics, and killed far more than Russia did. Yet today Filipinos love the US.

In 1962 China unfortunately was still learning from Russia and failed to defeat India morally, only physically. The release of photos showing Indian soldiers humiliated, in chains and blindfolded is a good start to winning a moral victory. More to come.

Despite all the love from CCP? Probably because of all the love from CCP. When I was a Chinese student studying in US, there was a saying among Chinese students that said: when Chinese government couldn't control you, that is the time when they treat you the best.

That is some rather cheap victory, especially online where nobody knows nobody personally.

Humiliating opponent or forcing them into a position to humiliate themselves is a small win but a win nonetheless. A moral victory is no substitute for physical victory but it is a great addition.

We have a common acquaintance who likes to do that. His name is A Gui.

West just cannot accept that someone can be more efficient and better than they are. A sense of insecurity has crept in.
Let me make a prediction. US is about to face a serious economic/scoial and law and order crisis.
Just wait for the collapse of the dollar. The end of the dollar as world currency will be the end of the US as a global player.
