China targets to dominate one-third of world’s industries

I didn't defend anything ,I just said that it's impossible to make japanese sincerely apologize if you just treat japan as an enemy.

How about treating Japan with contempt until they apologise? Sooner or later when the PRC becomes overwhelmingly dominant in E Asia, the Japs will have no choice but to kow tow. We dont have to befriend them.
If they are good, we can have Xi Jinping grant their future prime minister 'king of Japan'...[/QUOTE]

treating Japan with contempt would be bad, as they're a major economy that trades with us in RMB instead of USD now.

. .
Japan never apologised, because the majority of the people that runs Japan are the descendants and relatives of those in the government of Imperial Japan back in WWII. Why would they admit any wrong doing?

Dynastic thoughts still permeate through the Japanese political atmosphere and big businesses. I actually thought that ironically China is one of the countries in Asia that removes most completely the imperial and dynastic traits of its past.

China targets to dominate one-third of world’s industries
Politics & Foreign

after 110-year at the top, the US lost its manufacturing crown to an emerging power of the East, China in 2010. And as of 2011, China’s global share of manufacturing output is 21.8% vs. U.S. 13.7%.

China has been the world’s no.1 manufacturing nation throughout most of human histories. The decline of China’s Ming dynasty in late-1500s plunged the country from one turmoil into another. The Mughals in India temporarily interrupted its manufacturing lead, but the newly established Manchu was able to put China back in shape. It was again overtaken by Britain in early 19th century, who in turn outpaced by the United States later.

Also as Chinese expenditure on R&D is among the highest in world so it’s now fair to put China in the category of Japan, South Korea and Singapore in Asia and with US and Germany worldwide. And the way Japan posted its first trade deficit last year since 1980, with public debt already around 220% of Japan’s GDP, its likely that Japan may face an economic free fall by just next 2-3 years and then its all the high tech products will come on production line which will be mainly bought by China. Also US+EU are now not economically strong enough to support others economy. We hope to see a major change in world’s economy by just 2015, which will be dominated by mainly China.

(Also GDP of China was around $5.9tn in 2010 and if we consider GDP growth rate of china as 8.5%, inflation 5% and appreciation of Yuan by 7% for 2011, then GDP of China comes around $7.2tn by 2011. And if Chinese economy face similar rate of growth, inflation and appreciation of Yuan for next 4-5 years then its GDP would be around $8.8tn by 2012, $10.7tn by 2013, $13.0tn by 2014 and finally around $17tn by 2015. And if GDP of US was around $14.5tn in 2010, it wont be more than $16tn by 2015, making China the largest economy of the world by just 2015, while GDP of China on PPP was already above $10tn in 2010. And it is worth mentioning that US & EU will be able to maintain its current economic size by 2015 only when they may avoid any sudden free fall till 2015, which is itself is not easy for them.)

Dude, whats your beef with the Indians?

As a Chinese yourself you have to remember that we were fooked over so badly by the west that we are still only in the recovery process. Chinese have dominated for most of the last 2000 years and the last 200 have been a historical aberation where we are looked down on and humiliated repeatedly.
The west nearly broke us, they peddled drugs, sacked our artifacts and swarmed on the dying Qing like a bunch of carrion eaters. Why the fook are we still a developing country today? It because the west gorged themselves on a dying empire and TOOK EVERYTHING! That China remained intact is a mirracle - heaven has backed us once again to show the world that you cant fook with China!

India went through a similar process, I just cant understand why retribution is not in their hearts.

As to solidarity with Koreans and Japs, dude thes people have no pride and have ELECTED to be the white man's pet. I read into the atrocities that the Japs commited in China (Not even Nanking) back at Uni (Accounts by the Japs) and the **** they pulled off will make you green. To forgive them and forget is to defecate on our pride as Chinese.

As to Indians low IQ in their homeland, its most likely attributed to malnourishment in their children's formative years. Another lovely legacy left by the west and their barbarous colonialsm

I always find Chinese internet warriors living in a bluff for India which help them feel superiority in world. Like discussion of recent news that Indian kids were second last during recent test by UN as they couldn’t read or write in english also while first language for education in India is english right now so UN selected those Indian kids for test who didn’t pass even class 5th properly and then Chinese internet warriors came with claims of superiorities.

I have my masters from Sydney and we categorize different nationals on the basis of top international exams like GMAT for management, GRE for engineering and one for medical which help the international students get scholarship from different US’s/ Western institutes. Have a look on the GMAT score as below and check where Indian and Chinese students stand in this world. You will find similar result if you search for GRE and medical exams also.

GMAT score for IIM Calcutta was '760' in 2009 which is incorrectly written here for 2010 as '500' only. Minimum GMAT score required for admission in IIM Calcutta is "700", as per in "Admissions Requirements" section of this website.

Average GMAT score of few top universities of USA is above 700 mark mainly because of those Indian students who got admission there under scholarship programs for their very high GMAT score, raising overall average GMAT score above 700 for these universities

Chinese companies are supermen in copying techs only but when saturation will reach, hopefully by 2020, we will find Indian companies producing new techs. Top Indian professionals still haven’t accepted that they may get good experience while working with Indian companies so most of them still try for US’s/ Western companies first and then Indian. But the time Indian companies will have become matured enough, they will first try for a job with Indian companies then for the Western and it will be the time when world will start getting new techs from India, hopefully within next 8 to 10 years. (its people who made this world and India has people who may develop new techs and improve the existing ones.)

First GDP of India was the largest economy in world and above to that of China in 1st to 10th, and from 10th to 15th, and in 17th centuries, and also its economy was almost similar to that of China in between 1913 to 1950.
List of regions by past GDP (PPP) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And second, total population of India at the time of freedom in 1947 was just around 341 million and right now total number of middle class of India is around 350 million whose per capita income is similar to Poland, Argentina, Malaysia who are ranked with very high HDI countries. (total GDP of India on PPP would be around $4.4tn by 2011 and if we include ‘undocumented' part also then Indian GDP size on PPP would be around $6.6tn to $7.0tn on PPP. If we consider Indian GDP on PPP just around $6.6tn including 'undocumented' part also, then here, 350 million population of Indian middle class would have per capita income of around $15,000 (with share of around $5.0tn in total of $6.6tn Indian GDP on PPP) similar to that of Argentina, Poland, Malaysia. and rest of around 800 million indian people would have per capita income of around $2,000 only on PPP similar to that of Bangladesh (with share of rest of $1.6tn in Indian GDP).

Hence, poverty of India is because of additional population since 1947, since its freedom, otherwise at least 341 million people in India have very high HDI. India definitely got progress but its over population has hidden all otherwise at the time of freedom in 1947, there were only 2% rich and rest poor without any middle class :agree:

Have you actually read the article at all? Imperialist country? Throughout human history, when was China an imperialist country?

As far as for "treading on American and Britain's trails", are you blind on the description in the article:

China has been the world’s no.1 manufacturing nation throughout most of human histories. The decline of China’s Ming dynasty in late-1500s plunged the country from one turmoil into another. The Mughals in India temporarily interrupted its manufacturing lead, but the newly established Manchu was able to put China back in shape. It was again overtaken by Britain in early 19th century, who in turn outpaced by the United States later.

“After 500 years of interruption, China has again stabilized itself as the workshop of the world. This fundamental shift is unlikely to be reversed by any other nation in the near future,“

Read it first before offering those garbage comments of yours.

its true that history was dominated by Asia except last 200 years of West

most of the time you say.Its probably time you revisited the facts.

Historically, China and India were dominating the World. I wouldnt talk about the history of China as highly as the point you highlighted.:disagree: You guys should be thankful to us Indians if we start talking about history because we gave you your culture and we protected you from the Japanese to some extent. But blatant national pride and chest thumping makes you forget everything doesnt it? :agree:

Similar thing I also say. Our Chinese friends always proud to say that China has been among the two largest economies in the world but they prefer not to name India who shared the top 2 spot with China in between 1st to 18th century. Chinese economy was second largest after Indian economy in between 1st to 15th century, but it was the fist in 16th century making India second largest economy, but again it was second in 17th century after India. and again India took the first spot in 18th century making CHina second. And then we find Western economy dominating last two centuries.

And even at around 1980, per capita income of India and China were almost equal, but then China took pace when they invited foreign investment which increased export and Chinese economy may now become the largest by 2015. I don’t understand why Chinese people shy to discuss their great history with taking name of India also? may be because they are still trying to cope with West which they haven’t :what:

During the Mughal period (1526–1858) India went from the first to the second-largest economy in the world. The gross domestic product of India in the 16th century was estimated at about 25.1% of the world economy.[9]

According to economic historian Angus Maddison in his book Contours of the world economy, 1-2030 AD: essays in macro-economic history, India had the world's largest economy during the years 1 AD and 1000 AD.[7]

An estimate of India's pre-colonial economy puts the annual revenue of Emperor Akbar's treasury in 1600 at £17.5 million (in contrast to the entire treasury of Great Britain two hundred years later in 1800, which totalled £16 million).[citation needed] The gross domestic product of Mughal India in 1600 was estimated at about 24.3% the world economy, the second largest in the world.[9]

An estimate by Angus Maddison argues that India's share of the world income went from 27.3% in 1700[9

In the 18th century, Mughals were replaced by the Maratha Empire in much of India, Maratha rule expanded to almost 2.8 million km². While the other small regional states who were mostly late Mughal tributary states such as the Nawabs in the north and the Nizam in south India remained. Tax administration system in India was collected by officers of the Maratha empire, however, the Mughal tax administration system was left largely intact. By this time India again had the largest economy in the world, with a (27.3%) share of world GDP, followed by Manchu China and Western Europe.[9] Nevertheless, a devastating famine broke out in the eastern coast in early 1770s killing 5 per cent of the national population.[10]

Future wars will only depend on the level of technology you have but also an Nation's industrial might. For example, China controls 90-80% of the World's rare earth exports which is critical for electronic devices, esp silicon based machinary. Suppose Japan got too libby and threaterns PRC with claims to China's territorail soverignty, then we can seemly place an embargo on Rare earth exports to japanese markets which will devestate their already stuggling consumer-electronic industry. Before the 50s, the USAF had to place thousands off bombers just to.destroy an valuable target like railwys or deports. Now the USN and USAF could just destroy an nations entire infastruce with an couple of Ageis destroyers and an B-52 armed with tomahawk CM/GB-JADAMS/ARAAMs etc. This is due credit to America's established military industrial complex which has thousands of R&D centres, tens of thousands employees, an sizable infastructure and assistence from the civillian sectors in certain project. China lacks this.

East Asians tend to be quiet and get things done. South Asians are expert at finding faults in others and boasting.
The loudest muslim extremests tend to be of south Asian origin, the biggest cheerleaders of Arab and Chinese achievements are also South Asian. When China was India's economic size, they never considered themselves a superpower, yet India talks and acts like one.

The two cultures are too different, and in the long term East Asians will only be able to get along with their own kind.

Hey lets not racial, it's more off an cultural difference that set East Asians and S. Asians and Arab apart, namely the influence of Confucius

China owns around 30% of proven world reserves, yet it accounts for 90% trade of those rare earths. Logic dictates it will run out of those sooner then everyone else.

I said Exports not reserves, nevertheless you are correct. I believe the world will switch from Rare earth element to an alternative, just like oil.
