First of all, popular with the Chinese does not mean they will turn on the American. It can be popular with both China and US, and in this case, let's assume this study is correctly conduct, 80% of Arab youth considered China is an ally, 72% of youth considered US an ally

Second thing you can glim from this article is, again, assume the conclusion is correct. Is that Russia and other Arab nation is the BIGGEST LOSER. Because it said this

Youth are naive and prone to popular media influence, Russian youth is still somewhat naive, but elder Russians are hardened.

As for these public surveys, they very much depend on methodology, not very meaningful anyway. I bet they keep the real survey a secret.
