China spacecraft returns to Earth after docking test

depends on which country you are referring to, if you means India and Vietnam, yeah, they dont have and they are not going to have in the near future, so yeah, China beat them, but, are you proud of China beat this two countries? if you are referring Japan, then sorry, their deployed LE-7A is better than the under development YF-77 in terms of thrust.

Russia doesn't have the project to go beyond 20 tonnes rocket, while USA has cancelled its Ares project because of its economic crisis.

And China has the project to build a 150 tons LEO rocket, which is comparable to Ares V, for the coming moon landing.

But we will probably see this mega rocket between 2020-2025.

BTW, Japan's manned space technology is still rookie compared to ours, even a bigger thrusted rocket is not going to help them to beat us in the space racing, same for Europe.

You would go nowhere with those chemical "mega rockets".

At least it will be much more environmentally friendly than Saturn V.

Because the human space technology is still depending on the rocket, unless something groundbreaking happening, but we won't see it untill the mid of the 21th century.

Japanese and European space programs were not aimed to space race unlike the Soviet, US and China.
Hmm, space race? Can you see that after Wernher von Braun's death the American have to bitterly struggle to return to the moon even they did do that nearly a haft century ago.
Soviet and US's space race only have little achievement in scientific perspective except stunningly fueling their own super nationalism on each side.

The first round was the race for the Moon, and the US apparently won that race.

Now the new race of the 21th century will be the race for Mars, China/US/Russia will be the following contenders.

And China too, the space race is not only for boasting the nationalism, but rather something much more pragmatic.

Our planet's population has already reached its seventh billion, so it is inevitable for the human species to look for more living room in the outer space.

And we cannot prepare this until the last minute, but you must have to start it right now.

Angara (rocket family) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

while USA has cancelled its Ares project because of its economic crisis.

太空發射系統 - 维基百科,自由的百科全书

Payload to LEO 130 tons

if there is no project established officially, there is no 150 tons LEO rocket, yeah, there is no such project.

China's space program is more rational and patient, one thing at a time, step by step.nothing like crazy desperate space race bw US and USSR space race in the 60s.China's space program is much more efficient and doesnt even put slightest financial stress to the nation's economy.but still, step by step,we are getting there.

Right, viva le rocket.
Honestly, I'm totally impressive with the Chinese space program. It's going so fast and so stable. The US and USSR had to paid many deadly prices for being able to dock in space.
The Chinese did it with virtually no serious accidence in the last decades, even more fascinating since China is always viewed by the West as inferior in technology.

how about deep space exploration? you know Japan have their world first sample return mission Hayabusa, it bring back the soil of a asteroid then back to earth, speaking of ESA, well, they have their mars orbiter since 2004, what happen to yinhuo-1?

This was the failure of the Russian rocket, it was not our fault.

BTW, we have to wait for CZ5 to restart our Yinghuo mission.

Japan usually loves to boast their national pride at any opportunity, meanwhile they just sit there and watched China went to the manned mission before them.

Do you think this is a tasteful pill for them to swallow? Also the Japanese are extremely brainwashed since the 19th century and they firmly believe that the Chinese people are inferior to them.

Now ironically 'the so-called inferior Chinese' had boasted its manned mission before them.

the overall space ability China is way better than Japan, and China's momentum is unstoppable,it comes with China's economic might, both US and Japan are declining, especially Japan, after the earthquake,China will be one of the dominant force in future space exploration.

Military wise, China is way ahead of Japan in most of domains.
