It looks like a no brainer- the amount of goodwill the Chinese can generate in the middle east simply by appearing to support the Palestinians is a lot.

Ultimately, Israel is a very small market and compared to the Arabs and the Muslim world insignificant except for their influence on the US.

So it makes sense for China to move towards this direction to gain widespread support in the middle east and the Muslim world in general.

Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Saturday stressed that "an ultimate way out of the Palestinian issue lies in the implementation of the two-state solution," saying what is pressing now is the ceasefire and cessation of violence, and the United Nations Security Council has the responsibility to seek early de-escalation.

He expounded on China's position on the current Palestinian-Israeli conflict during a phone talk with Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi.

China holds the opinion that the Security Council should reconfirm the two-state solution and urge Palestine and Israel to resume peace talks based on the solution as soon as possible, Wang said.

The Palestinian-Israeli conflict has been escalating recently, causing huge casualties, which is distressing, he said. The root cause of the deterioration of the situation is that for a long time there has not been a just solution to the Palestinian issue, he added.

"Especially, in recent years, the Middle East peace process has deviated from its original track, the UN Security Council resolutions have not been earnestly implemented and, in particular, the Palestinian right to build an independent state has been continuously violated."

China, as the president of the UN Security Council for May, has pushed the council to hold two emergency consultations on the conflict and has drafted a press statement to guide the council to take actions, he said.

But regrettably, the council has so far failed to reach an agreement, with the United States standing on the opposite side of international justice, Wang said.

If China want to be a leader in the New World Order, She has to be neutral, no pro Israel nor Palestine, but pro law and order.
