India plans ballistic missiles along borders with China
India plans ballistic missiles along borders with China - Taiwan News Online
The India government is said to launch the anti-ballistic mechanism with the Agni-II missiles and Prithvi ground-to-ground missiles along the disputed borders with China, an unidentified Indian military officer was quoted as saying. A number of swathes of land have been left vacant in the west-northern part of India to accommodate these weapons, the officer added.
The Agni-II missiles cover a long range of 2,000 kilometers and with normal or nuclear warheads, while the Prithvi missiles are positioned for short-ranged coverage. India, the world's second most populated country, is also developing the Agni-V with a range of 5,000 kilometers, the report said.
A surge of military upgrading efforts are seen in the north-eastern part of India as evidenced in the aircraft basis of the Su-21 jets in the Assam State and a total of 30,000 soldiers in two mountain troops. The country is also said to expand a number of some 70 strategic paths along controversial borders, a policy in defiance of its past non-development rule on national boundaries.
India keeps provoking China. If India wants a war then China should just her India have one. No point keep putting up with Indian provocation.
