I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this one, the entire point of the SCO was to keep NATO outside of Central Asia, after Russia & China succeeded in doing that the SCO moved it's attention to keeping NATO outside of South Asia hence they brought in India & Pakistan, kicking India out of the SCO especially at this tense time would be playing right into America's hands because then India will go from being neutral (between Russia & the US) to being 100% US ally, the Americans would be laughing their a$$ off all day wondering whether the Chinese & the Russians were drunk when they did that to India.

SCO is Shanghai Cooperation in name only

Its more of a Moscow show
Currently Moscow together with CAR CSTO allies makes up the numbers in SCO

Expelling an SCO member requires consensus of all members,
If push comes to shove China will only have Pakistan to back it

SCO membership of a member State violating the provisions of this Charter and/or
systematically failing to meet its obligations under international treaties and
instruments, concluded in the framework of SCO, may be suspended by a decision
of the Council of Heads of State adopted on the basis of a representation made by
the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs. If this State goes on violating its
obligations, the Council of Heads of State may take a decision to expel it from
SCO as of the date fixed by the Council itself.
